Did you know…? World Spay Day was started in 1995 by the Doris Day Foundation. The goal was, and is, to encourage spay and neuter of cats and dogs. Though the program has changed over the years, the central goal has not.
Animal Health Center has participated in Spay Day since the first year and we are excited to hold another event this year.
If you haven’t heard of Spay Day, our events provide spay and neuter surgeries to dogs and cats at a reduced rate to help local families prioritize their pet’s health and reduce the local pet overpopulation. World Spay Day is officially the last Tuesday in February and we hold another day of surgery on the Thursday of that week. This year the dates are February 25th and 27th.
Registration in person is required prior to the event, with the registration deadline of February 21, 2025.
