Here are the ways one would file a Beardie on their taxes:

Business Expenses: If your dragon is part of a business op, such as breeding reptiles for sale, being part of an educational program, or appearing in professional media productions, you can potentially deduct the expenses as business costs. This includes costs for food, veterinary care, caging, and general husbandry.

Medical Expense Deduction: Probably pretty rare but if your beardie is a certified therapy animal and helps with a medical condition you or someone in your household has, you might be able to include its expenses under medical deductions.

Charitable Deductions: If you donate funds to a qualified charity for the care of lizards or reptiles in general, you may be able to claim this as a charitable deduction.

Rental Property and Service Animals: Ha ha, If you own rental property and the lizard is used as part of a pest control service, that expense might be deductible as part of property maintenance.
