Pet Parents – The holidays are upon us. Are you ready for the unexpected? Here’s a quick list to have in mind for the week ahead.

1. Check your regular veterinarian’s hours so you know when they’re around and when you’ll need find alternative care.

2. Know that UrgentVet is open 12PM to 8PM on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. We are located at: 10677 N. Scottsdale Rd Ste 103 Scottsdale, AZ 85254

3. Locate your nearest 24-hour emergency vet in case of a life-threatening condition.
If you’re boarding your pet, make sure the facility has the most updated contact and care information for your pet.

4. If you have guests staying with you, remind them to close doors and gates to keep pets safely inside. Put your contact info on your pet’s collar for an extra layer of caution. Finally, remind them of what pets can and can’t eat.

A little preparation now can help to make for a safe and happy time for all.

🍗 Watch the menu. Avoid sharing turkey bones, rich foods, or anything with onions, garlic, or spices.
🧺 Secure the trash. Curious noses can find harmful leftovers.
