💛 Purre Exotics is an HCM DNA negative as well as a screening Cattery. Each Breeding Candidate above 12 months of age undergoes a yearly echocardiogram by a board certified cardiologist and has tested negative for HCM alleles on the HCM DNA test.

💚Purre Exotics DNA tests all Breeding Candidates for 140 genetic disorders including CMS, PKD, and PRA.

💜Purre Exotics provides "pet" kittens. Breeding rights are NEVER given to ethically established Catteries. No Stud services available.

How much for a kitten?

Let me tell you a few words, yes you, the person who email to simply ask the price. The caller and after hearing a price surprisingly says, ′′ I can buy a cheaper cat elsewhere ". I also address you; the person who doesn't care about papers because I want ′′ just a pet ".

The cat is ′′ just a pet ".

Behind every pure parenting cat is a breeder. I'm using caps to differentiate a breeder from a pet factory or mill. A reputable breeder doesn't breed cats without papers, that doesn't protect the integrity of the breed. The Register (papers) are bloodline records that document blood and allow one to investigate any possible health concerns present in the bloodline. When you tell a breeder you don't care about papers what you're really telling them is that you couldn't care less about the cat's health you just want the cheapest thing you can find! When you select to buy a cat from a reputable, quality breeder, this breeder is responsible for the health of every cat; both owned and owned cats and each cat they have sold throughout their lifetime. This breeder will skip the holidays, I miss sleeping, and most of his personal home space has become space for his cats. The truly passionate breeder who loves what he breeds puts his whole heart and soul into him. Not only on kittens sold, but also on every customer who owns a piece of their heart and is now a member of their extended family. This doesn't consider any kittens / cat who can get sick or need extra help to thrive. Breeders care about their babies after they leave and will take one back no doubt.

A breeder will get his hands dirty, often covered in everything accompanied by labor. Because that's what life is all about... In the midst of birth and death is life. The wheel that keeps spinning. A breeder will test, echoes, x-rays, analysis, emergency c sections, vaccines, recording cats and litters, investigating pedigrees, deworming, as well as microchipping their kittens and getting evaluated by specialists.

Last but not least, a breeder chooses family lucky enough to have one of their kittens. Yes, you read it right. A true breeder chooses who they sell because they aren't making money from the sale. There is no compensation that can compensate for the investment a breeder has made for what they need to be sure it's the right fit. Many times saying more no's then yes... A good breeder will have different criteria for those who want to stay in their bloodline why... Because parenting is not a responsibility to be taken lightly, it's a lifestyle choice reserved for ONLY the few dedicated people willing to sacrifice.

Because a cat is never ′′ just a pet ′′ it's the breeder's legacy, a little boy's best friend, a girl s' protector, a therapy of older people, a family member, someone's whole world!!!
