I get it, you want to celebrate 4th of July on your own or with your family and/or friends, I'm all for it! But go somewhere that has a fireworks display, watch Boston pops on TV, or even have some sparklers in your backyard. But lighting off fireworks from July 2nd to July 6th in your neighborhood is not cool. Igniting illegal fireworks in your neighborhood is not cool. I appreciate that you may not have a dog, or you may not have a dog that is terrified of fireworks. I appreciate that you may not have a loved one who suffers from PTSD. Or a child who has sensory issues.
That's amazing for you and I'm really happy that you are not in proximity to the terror inflicted, but you don't have to be inflicting terror on your neighbors just because you are unaware of these things.
Instead of purchasing fireworks please consider donating a bag of dog food to a shelter.
