This time of year, we tend to open our hearts to those who need it the most.
Meet Annie and Lotus, two seniors who are in need of their furever homes!
Annie is 12, and Lotus is 13. While they are not bonded, it would be so wonderful for them to go home together.

They are friendly and gentle kitties. Annie is a bit slower to warm up, but Lotus will be right by your side waiting for pets the moment you meet him!

They love to bask in the sun, but also won't turn down a string toy! Older kitties still love to play!

They are both spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

A wonderful FAR supporter has sponsored their adoption fees too!

Mondays and Tuesdays, adoptions are by appointment only.

Wednesdays through Sundays, adoptions are open to the public 11am-3pm.

This year’s holiday toy dash was a little chaotic, a little confusing and very on-brand. Not every dog knows what a present is (yet), but that’s okay — every year is different, and every pup is learning something new.

Whether they grabbed their toy immediately or needed a moment to process the magic of gifts, we loved every second. 🎁🐾

We’re celebrating 21 adoptions — 4 dogs and 17 cats who are heading home to loving families! Thank you to every adopter who opened their heart and their home, giving these pets a place to feel safe, loved and truly home for the holidays. There’s nothing better than seeing empty kennels and full hearts. 🐾✨

As we celebrate, we’re also looking ahead to the pets who will come through our doors next year. You can help welcome them by gifting a name for a future FAR pet! Each name helps us tell their story from the very beginning.

Meet marvelous Mamacita! This 1-year-old sleek tuxedo girl is in need of her furever home!

Mamacita (hence the name)
came to us with her six kittens!
She was a wonderful mom, but now it's her turn!

She is a friendly kitty who loves to be petted. She enjoys a game of laser tag and won't turn down any string toy.

Tuxedo cats are so elegant looking. Mamacita is no exception. What a beauty!

She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Mondays and Tuesdays, adoptions are by appointment only.

🎉32 adoptions in one week — 23 cats and 9 dogs — and our hearts are so full! 🐾 Thanks to you, 32 pets will be spending the holidays surrounded by love, warmth and their new families, exactly where they belong.

We are incredibly grateful for our community’s generosity, patience and support as we worked through a busy week of intakes and adoptions. Weeks like this are worth celebrating — but they also remind us that this work never stops. We still have many wonderful pets waiting for homes, and even more arriving at the shelter this week.
