If you are in the hunt for a babysitter, confidence builder, and a tolerant packer here is your guy. You can look at his big, soft, kind eye and just tell he’s a good one! Boaz has earned nearly $5,000 in NRHA reining and cruises the patterns beautifully. He will go as fast or slow as you want. He has pretty spins, balanced circles, great speed control, automatic lead changes and is a monster stopper. But if the arena isn’t your thing Boaz is equally as great outside on the trails and all over the ranch. He’s happy to go wherever you point him and confident in all circumstances. The magical look and the way this horse makes you feel is simply majestic! Sterling is a show stopper and a crowd pleaser! He knows how fabulous he is and loves the attention he receives. Sterling is the first Andalusian cross we have had the pleasure of owning and his calm and brave disposition packed with great intelligence and willing to learn has been fun and rewarding. Sterling is a very sweet and affectionate boy that loves his people and want please. He’s very gentle natured and easy to own in every way. He is a blast to ride in and out of the arena. He is very sure footed and great out in the rocky mountainous terrain and navigates easily between the brush and prickly cactus. Sterling has a good ground covering walk and willingly goes right where you send him. He’s never buddy sour and rides out great alone. He has the smoothest trot I have ridden and he can canter a circle in the palm of your hand. He has nice, even gaits on a draped rein and perfect lead departures both directions. He neck reins and guides nicely. Sterling has been ridden English and Western. He may excel in lower level dressage as well. He’s soft in his face, collects nicely and is good in his rib cage to easily maneuver his body. We have ridden Sterling all over our ranch and he is pretty handy in all situations. He side passes to open and shut all the gates, ground ties where you drop a rein and we have even roped cattle on him. He naturally has quite a bit of cow sense and enjoys gathering and sorting them. Sterling is always gentle to ride even with substantial time off. He doesn’t require a program or consistently being ridden. He’s very trained and stays that way. He stands like a wooden soldier at the mounting block or will lie down with a touch of a finger allowing to mount from the ground. Sterling enjoys your attention and can easily be caught anywhere and will walk up to you in the pasture. He has perfect ground manners and is always a gentleman. He has nice spins, rollbacks, and side passes. He steers great with a one handed neck rein and stays right in-between the reins. Wherever you point him, he goes. Howdy is a very graceful and elegant mover. He has the smoothest, most comfortable and easy to sit gaits. With an impressive big long trot, a slow jog that you can enjoy all day, and his lope is slow, steady and pleasant. Howdy looks absolutely stunning under an English saddle and has western dressage written all over him. We have started him over smalls jumps and obstacles and he loves it. He never says no and will cross anything in his path. Howdy spent the first few riding years of his life hitting the trails. He has seen every national forest and state park in our region. He is accustomed to mountains in the desert and high country, all types of water features, roaming wildlife, and overnight camping. He’s a soldier outside and will take care of his rider. He’s not spooky or watchy in anyway. He is very sure footed and knows where his feet are at all times. Howdy is very useful all over the ranch. He’s good in the sorting pens and has gathered lots of cattle. We have tracked a lead steer in the arena and roped on him as well. He will follow right in behind a steer and track them nicely. He is accustomed to busy traffic, bicycles, motorcycles, loud gunfire, crazy dogs, blowing tarps, and heavy machinery. Howdy is always a pleasure to ride in the arena, out on the trails, or anywhere on the ranch. It’s hard to find a horse with his size that has a modern day, blacktype pedigree.
