Desert Cove K 9 Training is devoted to our furry friends and their owners! We want to teach your dog beneficial behaviors that will improve his/her relationships with us humans. We meet with clients at their homes to alleviate the problems they are having with their dogs. We know that behavioral issues in the home usually become issues outside of the home; this is why we assess your dog’s behavior

al needs on a personal level so we know exactly how to help. Each session takes between one and two hours depending on the problems of both the dog and the owner. By the end of the session, we hope to give owners a sense of balance as they ask questions and put their new techniques into practice. We are helping dogs by training people. From last weekend one on one home session….7month old Poodle Bohdi on the left and Chewy the 3 yr old doodle on the right…Bohdi was your typical bratty , pushy jumping out of control puppy, and Chewy was better but needed some tightening of the screws… in the end we were able to create a harmony in the home and two balanced, calm happy puppies!!!

From today’s one on one home session… meet Bowser the 11 mo old pit mix… from jumping , pulling on leash . Counter surfing and attacking the cats to calm and balanced… the awesome owner and the place command is doing a great job!!! Notice the cat and paper towels are left alone : major progress already!!!

Enzo!!! He and his owner stopped by for a new prong collar and a touch up …all I did was tighten the screws … he was terrific!!! Even when he wanted to explode (dog reactivity) he was very controlled with minimal correction from me… nicely done Enzo!!!

From last Sunday one on one home session… this is Bjorn!!! Definitely a mix of a lot of breeds… 80lbs of …. Well, when I tried putting on a prong collar he went after me with fangs showing and I stepped toward him as I usually do (to see if he was bluff) He was not bluff…he came at me stronger… I moved the kitchen chair in front of me … 10 minutes later he was walking quietly next to me and he did great with all the basics…sit, down, place!!! It was not aggression, it was fear and anxiety…as soon as we implemented structure he immediately changed… owners are awesome…entire family is on board and as you can see from the photo just sent to me all is good!

From today’s one on one home session… Luna the 51/2 m old black Lab… when I entered it was a bit crazy … jumping on me and barking and all the usual “I own everything’ attitude…owners were great and on board with structure: rules boundaries and limitations!!! Photo on right shows that she is respecting us and relinquishing the floor and items on it … the photo on left is from owners hours after I left… place command (turn off switch) doing its job!!!

This is Ciroc…11m old mix… definitely took over the owners life and home…owners on board with Structure : rules boundaries and limitations…the Desert Cove K 9 way… and now he is calm balanced and happy… no more jumping,pulling, eating remotes, going on furniture etc… also a big thank you to Dave C. from Empowered K9 for the referral!!!

From today’s one on one home session…This is Tui( toooy)…1 year old German Shepard….named after a beer! Jumping, pushing,pulling on leash etc… awesome owners totally on board with structure: rules boundaries and limitations…they got the DC K9 Training philosophy right away and now we have a more balanced happy GSD!!
