Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary (FLPS) is the only senior-only animal rescues in Maricopa County, Arizona. Formed in 2012 as a non-profit 501[c][3] organization, the focus of FLPS is to save senior animals who are often overlooked by providing them the opportunity to thrive in a safe and caring environment. FLPS serves a public need by offering housing to a limited number of senior pets. This safe hav

en takes the burden of temporary care and housing of senior animals off of local shelters. Inevitably, local shelters resort to euthanizing these abandoned, senior animals at an alarming rate. According to a 2012 statistics report, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) euthanizes one animal every eight minutes it is open to the public. Euthanasia for senior residents is the primary option for most local shelters because they tend to focus their efforts on a high adoption model that includes younger “more adoptable” animals. FLPS works with local shelters and rescues to identify the senior animals in need and provide a streamlined process for interested men, women and families who wish to adopt.

After Pumpkin was found running around the streets last week, she initially felt a bit nervous and scared. But guess what? Her sweet and cuddly personality is shining through! 💖 Thank you to Kenzie for fostering this sweet girl & sharing these amazing photos!

Edward is an 11-year-old Plott hound/Lab mix weighing 50 lbs! Edward is a friendly companion who loves to join you for errands or cozy up on the couch for cuddles. While he enjoys adventures, he’s also laid back at home, making him the perfect snuggle buddy. Edward prefers to be your one and only pet, as he gets anxious around other dogs. If you’re a low-stress household that loves big dogs, Edward could be the perfect addition to your family. 🐶❤️

We are so happy to share that Tabby Tater has found her furever home with Bill! 🐾💖 Bill reached out to FLPS ready to welcome another Chihuahua into his life. Just as fate would have it, we had just brought in tiny Tabitha Tater (Tabby), who was also in need of a new home. 🎉

Their journey together began with a special trip to get Tabby her Flagstaff Medical Center “work badge” so she can join Bill everywhere he goes! Tabby also got a fancy Halloween dress to celebrate her adoption day and get into the holiday spirit! 🎃🐾

Adoption Pupdate! 🐾✨
It’s hard to believe it’s been three months since Addie was adopted! She’s thriving and still on the lookout for lizards (though it seems they’ve learned to steer clear of her yard 🤣). Addie loves her walks, and her favorite spot to curl up and nap is on the couch. A huge thank you to Jessica for giving her the happy life she truly deserves! ☺️❤️

The Rubes was not feeling well this morning. After vomiting several times, she earned a visit with Dr. Bob. We know our girl has an heart murmur, enlarged heart and enlarged liver so this was concerning. A shot of cerenia to help with the upset stomach was our conservative route today.
