A little early Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

I’m taking the weekend off, my first time ever taking a full Thanksgiving weekend off. Of course I’ll still be caring for all of your horses! You’ll see me scurrying back and forth in my pajamas all weekend 😆

Looking into this weekend and this time I’m able to spend with my boys, I feel so incredibly grateful for all of my amazing, supportive clients. I truly have the best people around me; it’s surreal that this is where I’m at and it’s because you all have believed in me, stuck by me and put your trust in me. I do not take that lightly, and I appreciate every single one of you that has been on this journey with me.

I am thankful for all of my people this year and always ❤️

Our ranch show on Sunday was so much fun and got rave reviews! Everyone enjoyed their horses and supported each other, it was such a wonderful group of people. We had a lot of first timers and it was a great place to start!

Marta won all of her mounted classes and was hi-point in the W/T on her POA Winston!
Christye was Reserve in the W/T in her best show yet on her Gypsy Vanner, Panda!
Terry showed her draft cross, Levi, for the first time and came in a close runner up!
Jacque and Michaela (on their quarter horse and POA) showed for their first time and I am so proud of how well they did!
Liz showed her quarter horse, Bullet, for the first time and they did fantastic! Ron showed his quarter horse as well and did a beautiful job!
Erika won Hi-Point in the Non-Pro on her Appaloosa, Jagger, and did an awesome job in her first 3 gait classes!
Janet had beautiful rides and won all of her non-pro classes on her quarter horse!

So many breeds! So much fun and confidence building for everyone!

What a FULL weekend it was! I’m going to start with our Saturday show:
It was the first show I’ve had in a LONG time with only youth clients!

Evangeline was Hi-Point in Performance and Gymkhana! A full 18 & Under Gymkhana group you guys! This is my meticulous, cautious rider, I am SO proud of her trust in her horse and for always pushing herself to the limit!
Ella catch rode a pony after her original pony came up sore and did SO well! She won most of her western classes and hopefully increased her confidence in herself as the awesome rider she is!
We had two newbies this show!
Bella did so well remembering her pattern for her first time ever and was 1st and 2nd in her 9 and under classes! Great job Bella!
Lola rode in the competitive open walk/jog division for her first show and she held her own! She had great patterns and this independent girl had everything prepped and ready to go way beforehand. She was prepared! Nice job Lola!
Cade was hi-point in the Lead Line again! And though he didn’t have much competition he is doing a great job listening to me while he’s in the class 😂
I forgot! I had one adult, Bri showed SuperHero to a Reserve Senior Gelding in halter! He looked great!

My people all made it a great day, thank you to everyone who helped which was pretty much everyone there. Everyone who drove from so far away, thank you for joining! We had a wonderful group to show with. I appreciate you all!

Superhero!! This 3 year old POA is now available; he’s well built, a beautiful mover and a great size! He’s still a medium pony and should mature to large but definitely won’t be over height. He has a gorgeous mane and tail and solid barefoot hooves! He needs an intermediate to advanced home as he is still young, but he would make a great project for someone. Message me for more info!

I had the privilege to ride Tamsin (Code Name Sacred) in her first Appaloosa World show last weekend. She’s had a slow start and this was only her second show but we knew she needed the experience so we went for it! This mare has a heart of gold and gives you everything she has in each ride. I’m so proud of how she did and we even collected her first Appaloosa points! Thank you Tamsin for carrying me through my first Appaloosa World show as well!
Thank you to Lisa for giving me this opportunity and trusting me with your mare! Thank you to Michael for always holding down the fort when I’m gone!

Last night was truly magical as we held our very first yoga session here. Emma was a fantastic instructor and the ambiance as the sun set on the ranch was perfect. Thank you to my always supportive barn family for testing this out with me!

Check out this adorable filly! A friend of mine is selling this sweet 2 year old, registered halflinger filly. She is currently in Queen Creek, Az, is 13.3, and has a lot of ground work already under way. She would make a great little project pony to start under saddle. It was a warm day in Scottsdale for our POA show yesterday, but everyone hung in there and had a great day!
Cade was hi-point in Lead Line but missed showing with his buddies! The speed events are this kids favorite!
Cece was hi-point 18 and under, Ella had quite a few firsts for her first show with Winston, and Evangeline completed her first jumping class and had some awesome gymkhana runs! So proud of these three girls, they pour their hearts into their ponies!
Eva was Reserve hi-point in Non-Pro W/T! Marta and Joan had some great runs and some firsts!
Sweet Tamsin was second in our Ranch Riding class!
Supes got a champion in Senior gelding and Reserve in Grand!

Another fun show in the books with my favorite group of people!

We had a great clinic today, gearing up for our Fall show season! It was a beautiful morning! Thanks to all who came out!
My kids were also super excited about the eclipse which happened at the same time, so Michael handed out some glasses so everyone could see! That was fun!

Yesterday evening I was researching a very important project, find the most comfortable spot on our property with the best evening view. Doesn’t that sound dreamy?? These moments are still so surreal to me and I’m incredibly grateful every time.

Thank you to everyone who came out for our first EAL (Equine Assisted Learning) session! It’s still so new to us, and has so many areas that it can help us, both with horse psychology and our own mental awareness, that no one has been sure what to expect from these.
Based on our first one, there was a lot of learning, a lot of laughing and a better understanding of how horses and humans can communicate together. I’m sure we discover more as we keep playing out here at R and R Ranch!

I am the worst at getting pictures at my clinics! But we had such a fun group this last Saturday at our Gymkhana clinic! We had a lot of beginner kids just learning the patterns and everyone was so supportive. This kiddo is learning how to finish this 4 year old mare and her loping improved tremendously just in a morning! It’s amazing what a little fun can do to help us let go and ride.

Supes is teaching me that positive reinforcement looks different for every horse. He is not here for food he says! What this horse has looked for more than anything is safety. And he didn’t trust that I was going to give it to him. So when I taught him to lay down it helped for the immediate stress, but he wasn’t exactly relaxed yet. He didn’t trust me to lay with him or protect him while he was down.
Yesterday was the first day he let me lay with him. I stayed where he could see me, but I felt like it was a big step in him trusting in his people.

What an awesome start to show season we had this past weekend! John and Erika showed Saturday and were Reserve overall in their divisions! I showed Lisa’s mare Tamsin at her very first show ever and she was so well behaved for her first time out! Trail will be this mare’s event, she is so fun on obstacles!

I really have to brag on my volunteers though for this show. I got some compliments on how many volunteers we had and how well you guys helped run everything. I couldn’t have done that without all of you that showed up for me. Most of you drove all the way up from the valley just to help! I have an amazing village around me, and I appreciate every one of you ❤️
