We are so proud of our mare we know as moon pie (TR Platinum Shine).
It was announced today that she secured the NRHA world title in all three divisions of the novice horse non pro. We feel this is a rare feat indeed and continues to fortify our belief in great mares. The most impressive thing about her campaign to me was not the big wins but the fact that Boo showed her 26 times this year and won a check 25 times. Moon completed this remarkable campaign completely fresh and sound. While she’s enjoying a much deserved break right now we are so excited to see what she can do next year in the derby division.
We are so thankful for a mare like this who took us on such a great ride this year in addition to giving us a beautiful filly by Spooks Gotta Spark and a stud C**t by Downright Amazing.
My favorite author and horse trader, Ben K Greene, once said of owning great mares that “ in a cowboys way of thinking he could insure he would ride good horses for the rest of his life.”

Murphy is available to lease at our facility in Scottsdale Arizona for the 2025 show season. He is the “king” of the AQHA level 1 (youth or adult) and amateur reining and ranch riding. He is extremely well schooled and a great horse to learn the ropes on. He is NOT suited for ranch trail! (He thinks it’s horribly dangerous!!) 😂. This year he has been ridden by a number of riders, he won the year end Rookie Pro in the AzRHA, he won both goes and the circuit at fall champs with youth rider who rode him only for 4 days before the show! He has also won and placed at a number of shows in multiple classes with other riders. Murphy is the ideal horse to get your toes wet in the show pen and have lots of fun with a great group of people at the barn. He is sound and vice free and is fit and ready to go. Training onsite with Kendall Woellmer. He is available to go to all the local AQHA shows and also the AQHA shows in Vegas, or those shows Kendall is traveling to.

💥Nite Gun is a super fun gelding who has been well trained but not over shown. He is smooth to ride, and has a big turn and stop!!! He’s a level headed guy who is fit, and athletic and could really do any job you would like to! He’s super easy around the barn, been good to clip, bath, farrier, tie haul and load. He is more go than whoa but certainly not a run away, he’s just easier to keep going than some. He has lovely clean legs and good feet and has not had any unsoundness issues. This is a great gelding to do just about anything with!

Get the tissues out!!!!

This was such a cool surprise for adorable little Madeline Fairley.

Mom and dad, Aimee and Jason Fairley bought her down to Arizona a few weeks ago, and she fell in love with sweet dear Tag! They rode around together like champs, and Tag took great care of her!

Madeline had no idea mom and dad had arranged a ppe and to purchase Tag for her, and we had a little bit of a wait for transport due to the terrible weather that hit Washington recently!

Well today Tag arrived at their ranch! Madeline thought her old pony was in the trailer, so imagine her surprise when the horse she has non stop talked about since she came down was waiting patiently to meet her inside!

We are so excited to see these two grow together and all Madeline will achieve with him!

mare. Jenny happened to walk into the barn the day we were getting Dusty ready for photos, it was love at first sight, and the rest, as they say, was history! Jenny and Dusty will be hitting the ranch pen next year and we will most certainly be their biggest cheerleaders! We are absolutely thrilled Dusty is staying in the barn and will be under the great guidance of Kendall Woellmer! We can’t wait to see this new team crush it next year!

I’ve struggled to find the right words for this post.

Yesterday we lost one of the great ones, a legend, an icon, a friend, a neighbor and one of the most influential and talented horse trainers of our time.

Bob Avila, “The trainers trainer”, “The Greatest Horseman” titles he earned as he changed the horse training industry for the better. Bob was a visionary, he excelled in every discipline he competed, and he was always so willing to share that knowledge.

Bob, rest easy, you will be greatly missed. Your legacy will never be forgotten, and we thank you, for all you gave, to so many.

Our deepest and heartfelt condolences go to Bobs wife Dana, Son BJ and the huge number of friends all over the world.
