Highly professional and experienced equestrian announcer for Horse Trials, Dressage and Show-Jumping Competitions. (Major), and all facets of equestrianism.

For almost 20 years Paul divided his career between the Irish Army, where he rose to the rank of Comdt. As a rider he competed successfully in dressage, show-jumping and eventing and as a trainer he gained his BHSII instructor's certification. In addition he found time to be a BHS examiner, the DC of a pony club, head trainer of a riding club and, significantly, commentator at Punchestown Internat

ional Horse Trials and in the atmospheric main arena at the Royal Dublin Horse Show. Since coming to the U.S.A. with his wife Geraldine, Paul ran Millbrook Equestrian Center in NY State, including organizing the eponymous horse trials, and subsequently set up his own highly-esteemed business, Cedar Crest Farm Equestrian Center.

Coming back on form after a brush with Covid. What an awful thing it is! Anyway we had a great weekend at Hunt Club Farm and as before were so delighted to be part of a very efficient and professional team. The courses looked amazing and all rode well. They has a nice moving up Prelim and Modified among the divisions they offered over the 2 days. For those riders who did not make the journey they missed out on a really well organized event and well presented courses and I would encourage them to consider it for next year.

I am just putting the final touches to pre-recorded sponsor and vendor announcements in preparation for this weekend's Hunt Club Farms Horse Trials in Berryville, VA.

Making pre-recorded advertisements, complete with accompanying music, is a new service I am offering.

I am looking forward to working with this enthusiastic team of organizers again. See you there!

Welcome to all those who are familiar with my voice at horse trials and dressage shows, and to those who have yet to hear it!

After years in the teaching, training and competing side of the equestrian industry I am now concentrating on one of my favorite roles - as an announcer. With experience dating back many decades to major shows, both national and FEI, in the U.S.A., Ireland and Scotland, I am in the announcing business again at horse trials and dressage shows in the U.S. You may have heard me already at Millbrook, Genesee Valley, Hunt Club Farm and Larkin' Hill Horse Trials or recently at Loch Moy Farm Dressage show.

Please spread the word among your equestrian friends, and particularly to any horse show organizers, as I am always willing to travel to new venues where I hope my soft, Irish voice in the background will be a helpful and informative part of every successful event!
