Evergreen Stables Equestrian Center We provide Western horseback riding lessons all year round & horse boarding. Located near Scottsville We offer Western lessons to anyone over the age of 9.

Horseback riding is not just for kids, though they are welcome, so are adults too. Ever wanted to try riding a horse? We have nice safe horses to try your first times on a horse. We also more advanced lessons as well if you have already mastered the beginning riding skills.

Hey! It's fur season!!!
All the horses are shedding. Some more than others. Please try to take some fur off your horses. Please do not put it near their hay.
Then please clean off the brush throughout the grooming process. If you do not, you will be brushing with the old fur and not accomplishing anything.
Clean them off when you are done so the next person doesn't have to.
Everyone be polite to the next as much as possible.
Also, let me know if you'd like to start grooming other horses as well. We have plenty.

I have some bad news for everyone here at Evergreen Stables. Our beloved Autumn has past on. She was struggling breathing with her abdomen filled with fluid. We took her to the emergency vet in Buffalo but there wasn't any we could do.
She was loved by everyone who came here. She loved snuggling while lessons were going on. Interrupting students while riding around. Taking hay rides around the barn. Climbing trees. Being up high in the hay loft. Being warm in her tack room. She even liked her photo taken and would pose. She knew everyone loved looking at her huge feet and we could all touch them in awe.
She was 12-13 years old and was part of the lollypop barn cat program. She lived here for most of those years. But she was not any ordinary barn cat. She was spoiled tack room cat with treats, love, heated bed, and even canned cat food on occasion.
We will all miss her terribly.

Three more horses with the fruit rollup challenge. This is entertaining! Norman, Bandit and Sage.

This is how I'd like the horses blankets taken off and on. I will be doing this in person for your lessons. Please watch this so you can understand how to do this. Blanket season is on its way.

The co-ed horses go outside for the first time since the winter. The grass is huge and ready to be eaten.

On June 29th, a Saturday, we will host a bonfire for all current and former Evergreen Stables riders. Snacks and fire will be provided for everyone's enjoyment. Bring a chair and any alcoholic drinks you'd like. We can gather around at 6:30pm and we will get the fire going when it gets close to dark. Welcome to stay as late as 10pm. Hope to see you there!!!
