Half and Partial Leasing at Dogwood Knoll Farm!!
Dogwood Knoll Farm in Scottsville, Virginia has several show & lesson quality mounts for half and partial ON-site lease. English and western riders are welcome. DKF not only has in-house schooling shows but travels to BHSA, VHSA, USEF, USHJA, and other shows/events. Dogwood has many trails and access to over 1000 acres of trails locally. Some of our other amenities include a round pen, lighted riding arena, cross country/field hunter course and more.

Leasing starts at - $125 & up, per month.

Leasing is a month to month commitment.. Youth riders must be adult supervised during their ride time, DKF will not be instructing or held liable during their ride time. Leasing gives riders a chance to grow their riding and become a little more self-sufficient. It also helps get more saddle time to build on what we are working on in the lessons. Leasing gives the riders the feeling of having "their own horse" without the cost of actually buying one!!

Dogwood Knoll Farm has Available lesson slots After school on weekdays and Sundays. All ages welcome! With our subscription packages you don’t need to worry about losing money, Makeup lessons are scheduled if sick or inclement weather. We do English and western. DKF attends VHSA, BHSA, USEF, USHJA, VPBA, local, BRHF, AQHA, VQHA, AQPA, IQPA shows/events, team penning, rodeos and many more.

Sunday AM Stable Hand
Prefer a self starter. This job is about roughly 2 hours of work, Prefer have experience working with horses, mucking stalls, operating farm equipment, be aware of signs of colic, lameness and injury. Must also be able to lift 50+ lbs, be reliable and have transportation.
*Full and continuous Training is provided.
Potential for extra shifts!
Duties include but not limited to:
making feed
feeding horses, goats, sheep, etc.
Bring in/Turnout horses
Mucking Stalls
change blankets, flysheets etc.
scrub water buckets
clean auto waterer
Requirements:
- Must be able to carry/lift 50-70 pounds
- Must be able to work in all kinds of weather
- Have reliable transportation
- Prior horse or ranching experience a plus, but not required for the right person. We are willing to teach.
Other requirements:
- Must have positive, "can-do" attitude - this is a happy environment and we want to keep it that way
- Problem solving capabilities
- Reliable and dependable - Must show up every day you are scheduled for work on time
- Must be able to follow directions and perform all duties in the time specified. ​
