I got the honor of doing this for a Veteran that harvested this buck during the Wounded Warrior Hunt this past season. It was a pleasure preserving this deer for him and honoring his service to this great country. Thank you all past and present members of our Armed Forces for all that you do and the many sacrifices you make for the United States of America.

I got the honor of mounting this deer. He is special as the hunter passed away a couple months after harvesting this beautiful buck. I made a rock habitat to hold the harvest picture for the family. I hope as they look at this deer over the coming years they are flooded with memories in the field with him. Thank you for trusting me to preserve such a special deer.

This past weekend I took a break from deer to mount my bobcat and make a custom rock habitat. First bobcat mount under the belt. I am continuing to learn new things to offer to my customers.

It has been a while since I have made a post as been so busy trying to get everyone’s deer mounted and back to them. I have several awaiting pick up and I am continuing to crank them out. My plan is to have all 2023 deer back by October 1. As always I appreciate the business and trusting me with your trophies!

I just have to thank AJ Chapman for allowing me to mount this deer. I feel all deer are special to the hunter and I spend countless hours making sure they are as perfect as I can make them. However, those giants that we all dream of are truly a treat to mount. Thank you for trusting me with such a special animal. Note in these pictures the deer is still drying and just mounted. He still has to go through all
the finishing work before he really comes back to life. 😊.

A couple drying and will be finished very soon! I am happy to share that I am getting back to mounting, so if you are waiting on a deer from last year keep checking this page for updates as I will start posting regularly with status of deer in the shop. Just finished this guy right before Christmas to surprise a youth hunter! I have to say seeing the kids get so excited when they get their deer back has to be one of my favorite parts of this gig as a taxidermist. Almost as much excitement as the day they harvested it.

I wanted to take a moment to share that after 20 years of working as a Probation Officer, I will be transitioning to a full time taxidermist on February 26. I want to thank all my customers that have made this possible. Three years ago I started this journey that went from a hobby, to a part time business, to full time career. You will see a lot more activity at the shop and on this page starting in March. I am excited and looking forward to what the future holds for Split Brow Taxidermy.

I am caught up with skinning and the crazy flow of deer being dropped off at the shop is slowing down. I will be getting back to mounting this weekend. If you are waiting on a deer I hope to be calling you soon!
