We are caring piggy lovers that got together to start a rescue to save, rehabilitate, advocate and help every soul in need that we can in any way possible. Along the way, we’ve branched out to save many other species that will call this home for the rest of their lives as well.

🎉VLAD UPDATE🎉
Last week our sweet little Vlad went to the vet for surgery on his lower jaw. He had, what we thought, was an abscess. It turned out to be much more.
A very large section of his bone was eaten away with infection. Until we saw the bump on his cheek, we had no idea anything was going on with him. He was acting and eating just fine. He wasn’t losing weight or walking with his bum tucked under. He had zero signs of being sick!
The vet cleaned out all of the infection and packed it with gauze soaked with iodine. (Third picture) We are giving him an injection every 48 hours and checking the wound twice daily.
Vlad is doing great!! None of his teeth were damaged by the infection. Which is a relief. Thankfully he has been able to eat regular pellets and his favorite treats. He is one happy old man again.
Thanks to everyone that donated, we were able to pay off most of the bill. However, there is still $107.25 due to cover the last of it. We know things are tight for everyone, but if you could spare $5, we can get this paid off. If you can’t help with the bill, please share far and wide. Thank you always piggy family!!

‼️ UPDATE‼️
We just got off of the phone with Dr Finch and Vlad is out of surgery and doing well. We will be picking him up in a few hours.

Our very precious Vlad is at the vet right now getting the jaw abscess examined. We dropped him off last evening so that the vets could sedate him and do the surgery to prevent from having to put him under twice.
As you can see, we’ve had Vlad for a very long time. He was part of the first orphaned litter that we took in so many years ago. He was only 2 weeks old then. He’s been part of our lives and family for almost 9 years. Needless to say, he’s a big part of our hearts.
After spending $654 on Kenny in July to have the mobile vet come out and the ever increasing cost of feed, we’re tapped out. We really need your help to cover the cost of his surgery.
We’re one of those rescues that is incredibly grateful for even $1. “It’s a dollar more than we had before” is something we say weekly here.

🎉 UPDATE 🎉 THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HELPED! We have received $528 for feed from you amazing piggy family members. We were also able to sell 2 plants that were donated by Costco for $100! Everyone here thank you sooooo much for helping us. We know it’s tight for everyone and we appreciate you more than you can possibly imagine. The residents here have full bellies and are happy. We couldn’t do this without you all. 🐷❤️🐽😘

Kevin and Chotu are so grateful for living here and having full bellies every evening. That’s something everyone deserves to have. We can’t thank costco_katytx and Eureka Heights Brew Co for the incredible donations that help to keep these babies full. ❤️
Due to an unexpected expense, our budget got wiped out. We’re desperate and wouldn’t be asking otherwise. We have enough money to get one more day of feed. We’ve exhausted every possible way to get the pellets for the next 2 weeks.

Our precious old man, Hercules, passed away peacefully on Friday.
His love before us was very traumatic. He was attacked by dogs that ripped off both ears at his first home. We’re certain that he didn’t get any vet care because he wasn’t neutered. He’d also broken his front leg at some point in his life as well.
Herc was roughly 8 when we picked him up in 2018. He also caused mom to get 2 broken ribs! We were transferring him from the transport’s kennel into ours and he took off running. He went to a parking lot of a Post Office admin office. Everyone was watching as we tried to get him. Dad managed to catch him with a roll and they both rolled over onto mom. She heard and felt “CRACK”!
Nevertheless, we absolutely adored our little old man. He was always happy to greet everyone and get some belly scratches.
He’s already very missed around here. But we know he’s running through grassy pastures filled with all of the treats that he loves. Fly high sweet boy. #🐷 #🐽 #💔 #😭 #😢

🎉Boz Update🎉
This adorable little man is over a month out from his re**al prolapse surgery and he’s thriving!! He’s growing and putting on all the muscle he missed out on.
We are still working on his diarrhea so that he can go outside and explore his new home. He’ll be thrilled to get into the creek and get all covered in mud. Of course, living in the house and getting extra treats and lives might trump the creek! #🐽 #🐷 #♥️ #🐖 #😍 #🥰

We’ve been really bad at keeping y’all updated with everything going on here at Serenpigity. Mom has just been running ragged working around here since her back has recovered from yet another one of her oops moments. (We’re pretty sure she’s not indestructible after the disc hernias🫤)
Last week, Kenny had colic. Mom spent the day walking him and talking with the vet. He FINALLY pooped🎉. So the vet came out today to give him a really good look over. She says that he’s looking pretty good. We got vaccines and some blood work done too just to be safe. She’ll be back when it’s cooler to float his teeth and work on both boys’ hooves. Yet another reason we are so thankful for her!
She also got to meet out sweet, sweet Buddy boy. He kind of wanted her to just be here to visit him 🤣.
She also met our adorable old man, Benito. He’s sadly got cancer and it’s now a quality of life until he tells us it’s time to cross the rainbow bridge.
She was great and loved all of the babies here. Arrow stole the show as always.
We want to give a HUGE shout out to Horse and Hound Mobile Veterinary Services for being so wonderful with everyone here! So grateful to have you in our area for our beloved boys. #🐖 #🐽 #🐷 #❤️ #🥰

Jude came to us with more trauma than any pig we’ve ever know. He’d been tied up around the throat and ankles while dogs attacked him. He was bound, terrified and in excruciating pain. He had no reason to trust another human. Mom took his pace and taught him than not everyone was evil. She showed him love and kindness. She gently scratched his belly. Six months later, Sweet Jude gave Mom a kiss. One that she carries with her each day. Jude and his mom are one soul, one heart and live for each other. We had the privilege of sharing our life with this precious girl for a little more than 8 years. Fidget was the pig of changing colors. ‼️Hurricane Beryl has now been upped to a hurricane hitting us. We’re on the bands of it, which make the winds stronger. This is currently what is going on outside. It’s taken us almost 6 months to be able to post this without bursting into sobbing. On 11/1023, our much beloved Fidget passed away suddenly. She was laying with mom getting belly scratches after supper. The next morning, she was gone. Fidget showed zero signs of being ill or being in pain. No fevers, runny nose, nothing at all to that would have had us take her to the vet. She was definitely momma’s girl and was extremely anxious around anyone else. It’s believed that she had a heart attack due to her constant stress. Whatever happened, mom will never have a complete heart again.
