Well folks, we haven’t posted in forever. But something BIG happened here last week!! Even WITH radiant heaters being run by the generator, some of the people still wanted to sleep outside. We’re hoping to reach $750 this year to cover the cost of our hay for the winter. It’s $90 per bale and the delivery fee is $59. We had an amazing angel get us enough for the most recent bales to keep these babies warm. (You know who you are and you have an amazing ❤️)

This isn’t our usual type of post, but this year something came to light from a Butterball Turkey undercover investigation. Tens of thousands of turkeys are abused, tortured and se+¥^ly assaulted before they are killed.
As a group that stands FIRMLY against any animal abuse, we felt strongly that this needed to be shared. #❤️

🎉VLAD UPDATE🎉
Last week our sweet little Vlad went to the vet for surgery on his lower jaw. He had, what we thought, was an abscess. It turned out to be much more.
A very large section of his bone was eaten away with infection. Until we saw the bump on his cheek, we had no idea anything was going on with him. He was acting and eating just fine. He wasn’t losing weight or walking with his bum tucked under. He had zero signs of being sick!
The vet cleaned out all of the infection and packed it with gauze soaked with iodine. (Third picture) We are giving him an injection every 48 hours and checking the wound twice daily.
Vlad is doing great!! None of his teeth were damaged by the infection. Which is a relief. Thankfully he has been able to eat regular pellets and his favorite treats. He is one happy old man again.
Thanks to everyone that donated, we were able to pay off most of the bill. However, there is still $107.25 due to cover the last of it. We know things are tight for everyone, but if you could spare $5, we can get this paid off. If you can’t help with the bill, please share far and wide. Thank you always piggy family!!

All of the pigs here at Serenpigity Farm were over the moon with our first pumpkin delivery!!! Fergus decided that he was going to claim one just for himself. 🤣. #🐷 #🐽 #❤️ #😅

‼️ UPDATE‼️
We just got off of the phone with Dr Finch and Vlad is out of surgery and doing well. We will be picking him up in a few hours.

Our very precious Vlad is at the vet right now getting the jaw abscess examined. We dropped him off last evening so that the vets could sedate him and do the surgery to prevent from having to put him under twice.
As you can see, we’ve had Vlad for a very long time. He was part of the first orphaned litter that we took in so many years ago. He was only 2 weeks old then. He’s been part of our lives and family for almost 9 years. Needless to say, he’s a big part of our hearts.
After spending $654 on Kenny in July to have the mobile vet come out and the ever increasing cost of feed, we’re tapped out. We really need your help to cover the cost of his surgery.
We’re one of those rescues that is incredibly grateful for even $1. “It’s a dollar more than we had before” is something we say weekly here.
So, please help if you can. And thank you always piggy family!!

Welcome Nova! She was at holding kennels to be picked up by a high kill shelter Monday. A wonderful police officer contacted us and she has a permanent home here. #❤️ #😄 #♥️ #😍 #🥰

🎉 UPDATE 🎉 THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HELPED! We have received $528 for feed from you amazing piggy family members. We were also able to sell 2 plants that were donated by Costco for $100! Everyone here thank you sooooo much for helping us. We know it’s tight for everyone and we appreciate you more than you can possibly imagine. The residents here have full bellies and are happy. We couldn’t do this without you all. 🐷❤️🐽😘

Kevin and Chotu are so grateful for living here and having full bellies every evening. That’s something everyone deserves to have. We can’t thank costco_katytx and Eureka Heights Brew Co for the incredible donations that help to keep these babies full. ❤️
Due to an unexpected expense, our budget got wiped out. We’re desperate and wouldn’t be asking otherwise. We have enough money to get one more day of feed. We’ve exhausted every possible way to get the pellets for the next 2 weeks.
PLEASE help us by donating anything that you’re able to. Even $1 helps to feed 2 pigs for a day. You can also call our feed store and buy a bag directly if you’d prefer.
