Meet Avalon - our April Kitty of the Month, and his buddy Hercules! This seven-month-old rowdy and rambunctious boy is such a fun feline! He was found paralyzed outside in a box, but he doesn’t let that slow him down. He still loves to zoom around and chase after toys. He likes wrestling and plays quite rough with other cats, so he would do well in a home with another young and energetic kitty. Because of his paralysis, he eats small meals throughout the day and needs to be manually expressed, but he loves company and is used to being handled. If you’re ready for a rough and tumble friend, consider adopting Avalon! Give us a call at 206 557 4661
Little Tail update!! Little Tail came to us feral, aggressive, and fearful. Our patient, knowledgeable staff has been working with her at her own pace with positive reinforcement to help her learn to trust. Although she's not ready to be adopted into a forever home just yet, she's making wonderful progress and we're so thankful for the patience and dedication of our staff! Look how far she's come!
We couldn't do what we do here at the rescue without our incredible staff! When Little Tail first came to us, she was essentially feral, very fearful, and quite aggressive. Our ECPR Kitty Harbor team has been working patiently with her daily using positive reinforcement and fear-free behavioral modification teqniques. This soft and gentle petting is a HUGE step in a positive direction for Little Tail, and a HUGE accomplishment for our dedicated staff that always goes above and beyond to help our rescue animals in any way that they need. We are dedicated to doing whatever it takes to ensure that any animal we take under our wing gets the best chance at a happy life that we can possibly provide. Little Tail is not ready for an adoptive home just yet, but we are so proud of her progress, and of our wonderful team for their unwaivering dedication to a cat who very much needs and deserves human love, patience, and compassion.

Check out this awesome dog for adoption -- oops, we mean cat, but a cat who thinks that he is a dog?!
Meet wild child, Boty! This fun and friendly eight-month-old feline is full of energy! He was brought to us by a good samaritan who found him in a car engine and he’s quickly become a staff favorite. He is regularly found racing across the cat room and scaling cat towers to get a better view. He loves wand toys and showing off his jumping skills (he can land on a shoulder with ease!). He does have a habit of climbing clothes and chasing other cats, so he should only live with children 8+ and other confident cats. He would be a good candidate to be a harness-adventure kitty! If you’re looking for a trainable cat with a real zest for life, consider adopting Boty! Give us a call at 206 557 4661
