UPDATE: As of July 23rd, the CDC has revised its travel requirements for dogs entering the US. Dogs who have only been in low-risk rabies countries can now enter with just a completed CDC Import Form as long as they are microchipped, over six months old, and appear healthy. Make sure to check all the details before your trip and give us a call if you have any questions!

Planning a trip to Canada with your pup?🐶

Starting August 1, 2024, new entry requirements for dogs returning to the U.S. will be in place. Ensure your dog is ready:

✅ At least 6 months old

✅ ISO-compatible microchip implemented before rabies vaccination

✅ CDC Dog Import Form (available July 15, 2024)

✅ Up-to-date rabies vaccination from a U.S.-accredited vet

Exciting news! Dr. Holly Hinnant is joining Mercer Street Veterinary Hospital!

Dr. Hinnant, a West Seattle native, has loved animals since childhood and always dreamed of becoming a vet. After earning her degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, she graduated from WSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2024. Outside of work, she shares her life with her partner Fred (also a vet), three dogs, and a cat. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, reading, hiking, baking, painting, and sculpting.

We are so excited to have Dr. Sarah Beebe joining Juanita Hills Animal Hospital!

Born and raised in Snohomish, Dr. Sarah Beebe's passion for animals began with her 4-H dogs and only grew from there. She attended Washington State University for undergrad and vet school. Her veterinary interests include preventative medicine and canine reproduction. Dr. Beebe is excited to start her career at Juanita Hills! In her free time, she plans to return to dog shows and obedience trials and enjoys writing, drawing, and exploring with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Ingrid.
