It’s with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Amanda, our beloved manager and friend, on January 12, 2025. Amanda was more than a team member at Seattle Canine Club—she was family. Her love for animals, dedication, and incredible spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

To honor her memory and support her family during this difficult time, we’ve created a GoFundMe campaign. Any contribution, big or small, will help her loved ones as they navigate this loss.

Please consider donating and sharing the link to help us reach those who knew Amanda or wish to support her family.

Thank you for your kindness and support. Amanda’s legacy will always live on in the hearts of everyone at Seattle Canine Club.

We’re thrilled to welcome Senna, the newest member of the Miles family, to Seattle Canine Club! The Miles family has been a part of our community for 20 incredible years, and we couldn’t be more honored to continue this tradition with their gorgeous chocolate flatcoat retriever.

Senna, with all her boundless puppy energy and sweet personality, is a perfect addition to our club. She truly lives up to her rich, chocolate color—bringing sweetness and joy wherever she goes!

It was love at first sight!

As with every Friday, we love to post pics of our groomed dogs. Doodles are particularly popular here in Seattle, however, did you know that they are one of the most difficult breeds to keep their coats tangle free? It is worth the investment to bring them every 4-5 weeks for a grooming session rather than waiting 3-4 months and spending much more or having to shave them! Keep your doodles in check!

Seattle Canine Club - Tip of the week!

Your dog’s nose should feel wet. The level of moisture will vary between dogs and by time of year, but a healthy dog will have a cool and slightly wet nose because dogs secrete sweat through their nose to cool down.

Dog Tip of the Week: Keep Your Dog Cool This Summer
As the temperatures rise, it's essential to keep your dog cool and comfortable. Here are a few tips to help your furry friend beat the heat:

Hydration is Key: Ensure your dog has access to fresh, clean water at all times. Consider adding ice cubes to their water bowl for a refreshing treat.

Avoid the Hottest Parts of the Day: Walk your dog early in the morning or late in the evening when temperatures are cooler. Hot pavement can burn their paws, so try to walk on grass whenever possible.

Provide Shade and Ventilation: If your dog spends time outside, make sure they have a shaded area to relax in. A cooling mat or a fan can also help keep them comfortable.

Never Leave Your Dog in a Parked Car: Temperatures inside a car can rise rapidly, leading to heatstroke or worse. Always take your dog with you or leave them at home in a cool environment.

Watch for Signs of Overheating: Be alert for symptoms like excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, or vomiting. If you notice any of these signs, move your dog to a cooler area and provide water immediately. Contact your vet if symptoms persist.

By following these tips, you can ensure your dog enjoys a safe and happy summer!

Dog of the week! - Meet Charlotte: One of our super sweet members, Charlotte is a 110 lbs bullmastiff whose size is only matched by her kindness. She plays but not hard. She barks but not intensively. She loves getting scratches, but does not bug you until death. Charlotte is a beloved member who's been coming to the Seattle Canine Club for dog boarding sessions. Every couple of months, she comes to us for a few days! We wish we had more bullmastiffs in Seattle.

If you'd like to know more about dog boarding services and our club (for dog daycare or dog grooming), visit us!

Our Story

Welcome to a place of safety, serenity, structure and well-supervised play for dogs of all breeds and sizes. Our club has been in business for 15 years, and our 5-star customer reviews say it all. We strive to give your canine companion the comforts that they enjoy, while offering their human friends excellent customer service.

Seattle Canine Club offers weekday daycare from morning to evening, and boarding services every day, all day. Our play areas are divided into small and large dog groups, and we would love to accommodate your senior or less-active dog. We can also provide a recovery room for injured or post-surgery dogs that need a quiet place to heal while being monitored and cared for.

If you can’t be home for long periods of time — during the day or overnight — treat your dog to a stay at our state-of-the-bark urban oasis.
