MY GRANDMA LEFT ME AN OLD BOOKSTORE — I WAS GOING TO SELL IT UNTIL I SAW HER HIDDEN BOOK

My grandma recently died, leaving me this old bookstore in my hometown. I was totally not into it and wanted to sell it as soon as possible — like, TO ANYBODY.

Running it, fixing it myself wasn't the plan, but I worked like crazy every day. For some reason, everyone there avoided me, steered clear, whispering behind my back. Well, everyone except one girl. That's when questions started popping into my head...

So, one day, while sorting through my grandma's old things, a thin book accidentally fell from the shelf. From the handwriting, I realized my grandma had written it. Then it finally hit me!

I begged her to think about the future, but she seemed to be under a spell! In despair, I went to talk to the groom. Sure, my daughter is young and naive, but this man must have some common sense, right? But just before I could knock, I overheard his conversation with another woman.👇

FRIEND KICKED ME AND MY WIFE OUT OF HIS WEDDING – HIS REASON STUNNED ME

My wife and I were invited to my friend's wedding. It was a pretty intimate gathering, with about 70 people, mostly family.

After the ceremony, the food came out, and it looked amazing. It was a buffet setup. They were calling tables up a few at a time to get their food, starting with the family of both sides. That made sense. But by the time our table was called, there was nothing left. I asked if more food was coming out, but apparently, that ship had already sailed. We managed to scrape together what little was left and went back to our seats to eat the scraps.

But about an hour later, out of nowhere, the groom came over to my wife and me and told us we had to leave! And all because ⬇️

So, there I was, waiting at the airport to surprise my husband and join him on his business trip to France. I had it all planned out, ready for a romantic getaway. But then I spotted him... and let's just say, surprise plans were canceled.

He was holding hands with another woman. "Brian!" I shouted. He turned around, eyes wide, and immediately dropped her hand. "Ava, what are you doing here?" he stammered.

"I wanted to surprise you, and spend time together in Paris," I managed to say. But instead of joy, I got a cold response. "This isn't a good time, Ava. It's a business trip," he snapped, snatching my ticket and ripping it apart. "And before you go making assumptions, she's just a colleague. Go. Home."

I stood there, crushed. "I thought we were trying to fix things," I whispered, tears starting to form.

"This was a mistake. Leave," Brian said, turning away as he grabbed the woman's hand and walked off. And there I was, sinking to the floor, sobbing against my suitcase. That's when he found me.

"Are you okay?" a voice asked gently. I looked up to see the kindest eyes I'd ever seen... and a pilot's uniform. The guy was handsome.

I told him everything. And guess what? He offered me a first-class seat to Paris. 👇

POOR OLD MAN STEPS OUT OF HIS HOUSE ONE MORNING & SEES A NEW LUXURY CAR INSTEAD OF HIS OLD ONE

80-year-old Gregory Smith stood on his front porch, dumbfounded. He pinched himself twice to ensure he wasn't dreaming and called out to his wife, Cynthia, as he stared at the contents of the envelope in his hand and then at the gleaming sports car in front of his house.

"Cynthia! Cynthia! Come here quickly!" he shouted, his hands trembling with anxiety at the sight of the new car and his old one gone.

"What's the matter with you, Gregory?" Cynthia emerged from inside, drying her hands on a towel and frowning. "I burnt the pancake because of you! If you don't know, we were down to our last packet of pancake mix! And you're just standing here? When are you planning on going to the grocery store?"

Gregory waved his hand dismissively. "Look at this, Cynthia," he said, showing her the envelope he had found on their front porch. "There were car keys inside the envelope and our old car is gone! Look over there," he added, pointing outdoors where he had parked his old car the night before. "That's a brand new car! Who could have done this? What should I do now?"

"And there's no note inside or anything indicating who sent this?" Cynthia asked, confused.

"I already double-checked the envelope. There is none! What do we—"

GIRLS VISIT DAD'S GRAVE TO "SHOW" THEIR NEW DRESSES — SEE 2 BOXES WITH THEIR NAMES ON THEM

"On my birthday, I want my little girls to look their prettiest," Brian had said, his voice soft but hopeful. "I'm so curious to see what you’ll wear. Do you promise to come to Daddy and show me your beautiful outfits, girls? Even if Daddy can't be with you that day, you have to promise me you'll look your best." Those words were his last wish—a simple request for his daughters to visit him on his birthday.

When Brian's birthday came, the girls put on their new outfits, each one carefully chosen to honor his wish. They held hands, their little steps slow and purposeful as they walked toward his grave, with their mother, Linda, following close behind.

DURING MY LAST FLIGHT, I FOUND AN ABANDONED BABY IN BUSINESS CLASS WITH A NOTE BESIDE IT

It had been a pretty calm flight, and I had just seen off the last passenger when... A loud baby's cry echoed from another part of the plane. At first, I thought it was just my tired imagination. But then the cry came again, even louder!

My heart skipped a beat as I rushed over there. But when I finally got there, I nearly fainted at the sight. A baby, all alone, crying his little heart out — it broke mine into pieces.

"Where's your mama, sweetheart?" I whispered, reaching out to him, when I noticed a note carefully folded in thirds. I couldn't help myself — I opened it, and my eyes widened as I read:

"Don't waste your time looking for me if you find this note. I couldn't provide a good life for him. Please accept and love him as your own. I'd be grateful if you named him Matthew Harris, the name I chose for him. Thank you."👇

My father remarried after my mom died when I was 11. My stepmom did everything she could to give me a happy life. After my father's death, she stayed by my side and refused to leave me at the orphanage despite her family's demands.

But I waited until my 18th birthday to drop a bombshell she didn't expect.

Me: "I want you to pack your things in the next hour. You're leaving this house."

At first, she thought I was joking, but I said it again. Her eyes filled with tears.

Stepmom: "But why, dear? I thought we were a family…"

It started 13 years ago. My husband, Andrew, had left for work, and then the phone rang. The voice on the other end said, “Ma’am, I’m sorry to inform you, your husband died in an accident this morning.” The caller continued, “There was another woman in the car who also died... and two surviving daughters. DNA confirms they’re Andrew’s children.”

I went numb. My husband had been hiding a double life. I was shattered. But at his funeral, seeing those two little girls—clinging to each other, motherless, fatherless—I felt something shift. They had no family left; I felt I couldn’t abandon them.

So I decided to adopt them. Despite the betrayal, I gave them all the love I had. Over the years, we became a family. When they turned ten, I told them the truth, and although they seemed a bit distant afterward, I thought they understood.

Then, one day, I came home from work, and my key didn’t fit the lock. Confused, I tried again, only to realize the LOCKS HAD BEEN CHANGED. My stomach dropped. On the door was a note in familiar handwriting:
“We’re adults now. We need our own space. Go and live with your mom!”

Next to it were a couple of suitcases filled with my belongings. They had packed my things and KICKED ME OUT. I was numb. What had I done to deserve this?
