Calling all rescues!! We have donations for you!!!

Beloveds is doing a major clean out of our storage unit and garage set ups, and have literally $100ks of pet supplies to distribute!! We have everything from dog/cat beds, trees, toys, medication, grooming supplies to small critter cages, bedding and toys!

The goal is to reduce our inventory by at least 50% before the end of October so we can initiate our inventory project! This new project will make our inventory available online for rescues to search, reserve and schedule a pick up date. First, we need to clear out as much as possible.

That means, all rescues (501c3 or not) are welcome to reach out directly to get time scheduled to pull, pull, pull all the donations they could possible need. We are not restricting this to WA state rescues either! If you know of a group that is in a neighboring state OR a transport that would take items to other state or Mexico, let us know!!

Due to many months of issues, tragedies and general shenanigans, I'm (Rachael, Founder/Exec Dir) taking a break from Beloveds to reset mentally, emotionally and physically.

Beloveds has seen a massive flood that affected their entire storage space for Beloveds, including damaging donations. During the repair period (4+ months), there were roof issues, two day job changes (we all work day jobs to support our volunteer habit), fostering, personal health issues and MORE!! So much more... Yes, I inadvertently picked up the Costco Family Size Pack of Murphy's Law. LOL!

In order to regain stability, personally, professionally and Beloveds-wise, I'm taking a few months off to regroup. Never fear, we are still moving donations out to pet nonprofits and there will be a few events for us like SeaMeow, but for the most part response times will be slow and I will be asking that FOOD donations are redirected to your local food bank.

NOTE: Food banks can take ALL cat/dog pet food, including open bags, individual cans and prescription food. This will get these items into the hands that need them the most, asap. OR, give directly to your favored rescue.

We will be accepting all non-food related items, medication, and other pet supplies as usual. If you require a pick up, this could take a few weeks to arrange but West Seattle drop offs are always welcome.

Urgent NEED for Placement:

Tamerlan is a sweet, affectionate boy that was pulled in after he was abandoned as a kitten and learned how to survive on the streets. This left the sweet boy, affectionate towards humans butcan be territorial with other cats. The most important requirement for him, is he won't potty in a box, he must go outside. This kid loves to hunt, loves to be outside but also loves the comfort of regular food, a warm bed and someone to love on him.

This is urgent because his foster can no longer keep him, due to personal circumstances, but wants to him into a home not another foster.

His ideal situation would be urban, yes, really. He loves the city life, only knows the city life but likes to hunt like a barn cat and needs human interaction and affection. Please help us find the best home for him, as he needs to homed asap.

Today I was chastised by a kitten adopter that adopted a kitten through my org, but here is the deal... This was not my foster.

I worked with perfect strangers to find a place to land for two cats being rescued from Saudi Arabia flying into Seattle. I didn't know this couple that were bringing the cats. I had a huge flood in my house and health problems but offered to provide a landing place for the cats, while they were being moved to a foster home. One had to even stay overnight.

One of the cats was adopted by the foster!! Because no one had a good plan on how to handle this, including contracts, payment, I offered to use my contract I have available through Beloveds, but I would receive ZERO of the adoption fee and honestly had WAY too much going on but ushered the adopters, cat and the rescuers through the entire process.

Now I get an email chastising me about how delayed the medical records were to be sent to the adopters. I clarified my part in this and what has been happening and apologized for any misunderstanding of expediting ANYTHING under the current circumstances, but honestly people... be kind to the rescue folks. We are ALL working full time jobs, have our own animals, fosters, houses to run, many have children and/or husbands or worse no one to help. We aren't paid and often have to PAY a lot to support this patience. So be ******* patient!!

Sunday, we dropped by a donor's house in Maple Valley who has a mini-horse and a horse. The horse is named "Moose". We stopped and had a beautiful moment where we touched foreheads.

It was a beautiful moment to remember that the animals we care for, do not care about your hair or size or what you are wearing but what is in your soul. Moose reminded me of that.

Now, Moose and I engaged, we will be hosting our wedding register at Tractor Supply. LOL! Srsly, he is so sweet and made my day.

It’s never boring around here! Today, I had the luxury of inviting three fosters into my home from Saudi Arabia!

Two have already gone to a different foster and third will go to his foster home tomorrow, so I’m just weight station so to speak but it’s still so cool. I met the amazing couple who rescue these babies and look forward to working with them in the future!
