Salamander is a harmless animal found in our gardens here in the pnw. However, it is wise to keep your pets like dogs from eating them because they might secrete some poison. This one pictured stiffened up to make it hard to bite, swallow, or carry away by a predator. Usually the chemical reaction that causes the stiffness from abnoxious glands that could make a predator sick.

I'm part of this complicated recycling program where I sort every single scrap and everyone in my household does it and then we send it out to a private recycling company. I just noticed that the drying rack today pretty much looks like a flower bouquet so many different colors as it's dripping down to dry from being rinsed in the sink.
