It is with great sadness that we have decided to close our beloved chicken shampoo business. Messy Mildred has had the pleasure of being your go to . With shipping rates, shipping issues, supply challenges and costs going up, we’ve decided it is too much and time to end our magical chicken bubble adventure.

We will ship out current orders and will sell through our remaining stock. Then we will close our website. So order now to have some backup chicken bubbly.

Our Messy Mildred IG account will stay active as a personal account of MM’s head hen, Kathee. So fanciful photos of floofs will still be entertaining your late night scrolling.

We want to thank ALL of our feathered and human customers. You have brought us great joy in knowing we brought a product to you that you trusted and enjoyed. The community we have created is point blank, priceless.

These photos are just a few of the floof queens and roos that made this journey worth while. Your drenched feet, wet feathers and blowouts always made us giggle.

We are a family run business in Seattle, WA that has a love for the backyard chicken. Our small flock has one rising star named Mildred. Mildred camps the great outdoors, can be found at local Seattle skateparks and has even hiked Mt. Rainier! During her adventures she gets downright dirty and that is when we started looking for a shampoo specifically for the urban chicken. After much research we could not find anything gentle and safe enough for our feathered companion. Using dog shampoo, dish detergent or human shampoo was not going to cut it for our sweet hen. So with that Messy Mildred was hatched. Today we bring your hens and roos a bottle full of natural ingredients that even meet USDA organic food standards. We are honored that chickens out there have chosen us to provide them with the best spa night ever!
