Spotlight Sunday — Fezzik (WAMAL Class of 2024)
Fezzik’s mom says:
Fezzik just had his second Birthday, he has lots of people and dog friends in our neighborhood and people still stop in their cars to tell us how beautiful he is. He plays a lot with his cat brother, Inigo, and continues to bring daily joy to us and the neighborhood. Who knew this 10 month old rescue malamute from Mally Valley would turn out to be the best dog in the world? Thanks for bringing us together ! Here's a short video of his Birthday cake. He also opened presents, which he also enjoyed at Christmas!

🥰 VOLUNTEER TIDBITS — BANE 🥰
One of our wonderful volunteers has been spending time with Bane. Here are her thoughts:
“Bane is a sweet and mellow guy, loved by all. He's very gentle while walking because he just wants to be your best friend. He's an escape artist, but the thing about being an older gentleman who takes time to appreciate life means he won't get far. 🤣 He's so lovely he'd be amazing for anyone who wants a dog on “easy mode”. ”

🥰 VOLUNTEER TIDBITS — DAISY 🥰
One of our wonderful volunteers has been spending time with little Miss Daisy. Here are her thoughts:
“Daisy is affectionate and playful and she is aware of her strength. When she's naughty, like when she jumps, it's still very gentle and from a place of love. She knows better so it's easy to redirect her, but SHE JUST WANTS TO SHOW LOVE SO BAD. She's a puller when she walks but only because EVERYTHING SMELLS SO INTERESTING. She can easily be redirected by letting Miss Daisy take a moment to smell the flowers.”
Spotlight Sunday — Meiku (WAMAL class of 2020)
Meiku’s mom says:
“We went to the coast to get her BARK ranger badge, unfortunately the station was closed, but we still had a great time. Meiku did so much better in the water than I thought she would given her prissiness with mud and snow, I think she may have enjoyed it. She loved all the new smells around too.”

Yuki has become a wonderful Ambassadog for WAMAL. She has a lovely voice, and generously serenades people at WAMAL events.
Spotlight Sunday — Samoa (WAMAL Class of 2024)
Here is an update on Samoa (now Fezzik!)
“Our boy is doing great! Now that he is all caught up on vaccines he had his first dog park visit this weekend, he just loves playing with other dogs. Also had his first beach weekend, less interested in the water than greeting other dogs and people. He definitely wants to catch a bunny and really wanted the coyote we saw last night.”

Keanu strongly believes that an exercised human is a happy human. Therefore he always makes sure to engage his foster parents in playing with him.
