As a small community shelter, C.A.R.E.S. relies on their excellent and varied team of volunteers to help with day-to-day shelter operations, animal care, and special events. Generous donations of time and energy help them take great care of animals and facilities, and they truly couldn't do it without them!

Congratulations to our employee of the month Kaley! She is extremely knowledgeable and gives 110% every day. Her primary goal is to make sure that each patient has the best experience possible and receives excellent care. She is also an amazing educator and does a great job teaching other staff members every day.

As of December 2022, they have taken in almost 8,000 animals, adopted out over 4,000 dogs and cats to new loving homes, and returned almost 2,000 lost animals to their families. They have had countless kittens born at the shelter and puppies too.

Thank you to Kennedy who is our Employee of the month. She might be a newer face to some of you as she just completed 90 days with us. Here is a little about her.
Kennedy grew up in Montana and moved to Seattle in 2022 after finishing college. While her background is in music, graduating from the University of Montana with a degree in music education, she has always had a deep love for animals and joined the team to turn that love into a career. Outside of work, Kennedy enjoys spending quality time with her partner and her two cats, playing the clarinet, and crocheting.

Today we say good-bye to Sarah (Practice manager and Tech), she has been with Pet Care Center since 2018 but is now going to be spending her time with her family. We will all miss her and wish her the very best, bet she pops in from time to time :)
