Earlier in 2024, we completed the Family Paws Educator Course! We have so enjoyed helping expecting families to prepare for life with dog and baby, and helping others to navigate dog-baby and dog-toddler dynamics. We look forward to working with more dogs and families in 2025!

Rocket 🚀 has made great progress after our first 3 sessions! We started by making some tweaks to the strategies her parents had been using on-leash, and she has responded beautifully. She's also learning a super solid recall and increased frustration tolerance.

Winnie dog! This beautiful girl is learning so many new skills that are helping her feel more calm and confident in the world. She is a quick learner and I love how she backs up to sit on my lap for pets at some point during each of our sessions 😅

Maverick just finished his 15th session and he's totally jazzed 😊 We got to enjoy a lovely long line walk through the forest with Mav following his nose and learning to consistently respond to and check-in with his humans despite the extra distance between them. He showed his delight by rolling in the grass for a few minutes! I'm so proud of him 🥰

This floofy boy is making such great progress with staying calm around visitors! We are building on some of his existing skills as well as reinforcing voluntary disengagement, and he has shown he can make great choices! 🩵

The lovely Otto showing off his superb mat skills in preparation for life with a baby. We started working on his skills months in advance of baby's expected arrival, helping to set everyone up for success 😊

I am currently working toward certification as a Family Paws Parent Educator and look forward to sharing even more great information with expecting families 👶❤️

Met this trio and their lovely humans the other week 🩵💚💛 We'll be working on reducing conflict and increasing comfort between two of them when toys are around.

Maverick was rehomed a couple months ago, and the care with which he was rehomed in addition to the beautiful relationship already developing between him and his new guardians fills my heart 💗 I am so happy to get to work with him!

He is already making great strides with a couple of his training goals, including walking on-leash without pulling and seeing other dogs calmly.

Met this beauty a couple weeks ago 😍 We will be working on a variety of things, including her ability to stay in her "thinking brain" in times of heightened arousal.

Buddy became a client last year, when we began helping with his on-leash reactivity and loose-leash walking skills. We have refined our approach over that time to meet his specific needs, always meeting him where he is at on a given day. These days he walks without pulling, he can see other dogs calmly in much closer proximity, and his reactions are much milder with a quick recovery. It's wonderful to see him continue to make progress 💛

We've been off social media for a bit, but planning to get back to sharing some of the dogs we've been working with! This lovely boy has been working on learning a calm alternative to barking at other dogs and learning how to walk without pulling on leash. Next up - desensitization and counter-conditioning to startling sounds when in his apartment. He's as soft as he looks 🥰
