‼️The microchip company Save This Life Microchips, which animal control agencies and hundreds of other hospitals have used for 13 years, has suddenly and without notice shut down. The URGENT issue for you as a pet owner is that they have unlinked their database from the national registries! ‼️

🚨 Currently - if your pet were to become lost, there is NO WAY for ANY shelter or vet hospital to find your information. You MUST register your pet’s microchip with a new company.

Do you know some festive plants are poisonous to pets?
Lilies, poinsettias, amaryllis, mistletoe and holly are all toxic to our furry friends.

‼️Safety reminder: Lilies are extremely dangerous to cats. Every part of this festive flower, including the water in the vase and even the pollen that they may groom off their fur, is toxic to cats.

If you suspect your furry has ingested one of these plants, contact your local vet right away!

Welcome to the Columbia City Veterinary Hospital page! We are humbled to be the first veterinary hospital serving the dogs and cats of Columbia City. Columbia City Veterinary Hospital (CCVH) is an independent and locally (female) owned small animal hospital. We see patients by appointment, by drop off appointments and for emergency care Monday through Saturday. We also schedule anesthetic dental cleanings, general surgery and specialty surgeries by appointment.

CCVH was started in 2015 by myself (Dr. Lizzy Dean) and Dr. Katie Rob. The reason that we felt compelled to start our own veterinary hospital was to create a positive, calm environment for staff members and patients in order to provide excellent working conditions leading to superb patient care. We offer high quality medicine and state-of-the-art diagnostics at a reasonable price. Our goal is educate pet owners so that they can chose the level of care (and cost) that is right for their families. We keep the comfort of your furry family member at the center of our approach and tailor our care to your family’s unique needs. Our goal is to offer outstanding customer service, low stress visits for our patients and provide the highest quality of life for CCVH pets. Not sure if this practice is right for you? We invite you to come meet our staff and see the hospital. Our friendly reception staff will greet you and answer any questions. Join us for our annual open house party in June every year, or visit our booth at the Rainier Chamber of Commerce parade & festival each August. Feel free to dress your pet up and come to CCVH to treat or treat on Halloween. You can follow us on Facebook or Instagram and subscribe to our blog. And, if you still aren’t sure, schedule an initial meet & greet appointment with one of our doctors. We are confident that our enthusiasm and positive vibrations will be evident right from the first visit.
