Hi everyone 🤗🐾💕🐾
For the safety of our staff and the community, Highlands Animal Hospital will not be seeing patients after 2 pm today.

Boarding pets will need to be dropped off by 6pm tonight .(Wednesday10-9-2024 )

And there will be NO Drop off or pick up of pets at any time tomorrow .
(Thursday 10-10-24)

We will begin seeing patients again on FRIDAY morning at 8 am.
And boarding pets may be picked up starting at 7 am.

Daniel Jutras D.V.M
The son of two veterinarians, Dr Daniel Jutras has pursued the field of veterinary medicine from a young age under the tutelage of his father Dr George. Graduate from the university of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023 , Dr Daniel brings a fresh look and current principles to Highlands Animal Hospital. Dr Daniel is known for his compassion, understanding, and goals of client education.

When not in the office , Dr. Daniel spends his time traveling, working in his hobby as an amateur costume maker, or relaxing playing a video game or two with his friends.

Thanks to the success of H.A.L.O.’s “Spayghetti & No Balls” Festival, we are excited to now offer our “Snip Happens” Voucher Program!

With our partnership with Highlands Animal Hospital, the low-cost voucher provides a spay or neuter procedure, rabies vaccine, and microchip. For senior pets (7+ years), bloodwork is also included with the voucher. We aim to reduce pet overpopulation and help keep pets in their homes and out of shelters!

A golden retriever named Todd saved his owner from a rattlesnake that consequently bit him in the face.
Speedy recovery Todd !
You are beautiful and a HERO !♥️

Note: Todd is not one of our patient, after deep research just find out this happened a while ago . He recovered🙏🙏🤗Even old story , still his behavior deserves to remember and share !♥️So no worries all good people ! 🙏♥️🤗

Owner’s friend see the post and owner picking him up from Humane Society at 9 am as soon as they are opening tomorrow.

This handsome boy found near ;
Columbus Street in Sebastian, Florida, 32958.
Unfortunately without a microchip.

He was picked up by animal control from HAH at 4 pm on Saturday, August 24th, 2024.

He's at the Humane Society on 77th St in Vero Beach.

He appears to be in good health, suggesting a short time outside.

Hello everyone! I'm sure many of you are unaware of this. We love them and it's good to know. Have a wonderful evening with your furry family members!

An elephant's skeletal structure is not designed to carry weight at its back. They have bony protrusions, extending upwards from the spine. Both the protrusions and the surrounding tissues get damaged from weight and pressure. Many elephants end up with deformed and broken backs as a result of years of long hours spent carrying tourists around.
Thinks about it before you ride an elephant!
