When I think of what I’m thankful for this week, it’s these exact moments of coming together. 💞

Your donations truly save lives. Puppies like Chili get their second chance because of you.

Chili was just carried through our doors with a broken humerus, in unbearable pain and facing euthanasia.

But thanks to your support of our Angel Medical Fund, we were able to say yes to saving Chili’s life.

Tomorrow, Chili begins his journey to recovery and a bright future—all because of you and our incredible veterinary teams.

Together, we can continue to give hope to those who need it most. Thank you for making stories like Chili’s possible.

We are almost halfway there!

This November, your gift to the “Fill A Bowl” Campaign is doubled thanks to a generous $30,000 matching grant!

Every dollar you give provides essential nutrition—whether it’s a special diet for a cat with urinary issues, hypoallergenic food for a dog with allergies, or just a nourishing meal for a pet waiting for a forever home. No animal deserves an empty bowl.

Your gift fills bowls, saves lives, and gives animals the second chance they deserve. Every meal matters. Every dollar counts.

HALO No Kill Rescue

H.A.L.O. Rescue was created in 2006 with a mission to create a NO KILL safe haven for abused and abandoned animals. H.A.L.O. believes in a community where there are no more homeless pets. What sets us apart from other shelters is we are Indian River County's only No Kill animal shelter for dogs, cats and small animals. This means we do not euthanize for age, space, medical needs, or behavioral issues. Once an animal enters H.A.L.O. we make a pledge to them to provide all physical, emotional, and medical care needed until a forever home is found. While we primarily work within Indian River County to make Indian River County No Kill, we also bring in animals all over the state and even outside of Florida.

HALO saves over 2000 animals each year but our work is not done. In 2016 1,400 dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens still lost their lives in Indian River county. With your help, HALO is here to end this because there is a better way. It doesn't have to happen. We depend on animals for everything including unconditional love but can they depend on us in return.
