While at Convention in Chattanooga, I had asked Mr. Glenn Reese to rework my 20 year old Jim Keith fire tong set. He went above and beyond making those tongs grip better than the used to and by sending a pair of his own hot fits to replace the pair I had stolen. I appreciate the love this trade shares. A very interesting read on the misconceptions of hardiness of pigmented and non-pigmented feet.

There is no evidence that white hooves are weaker than black hooves...

Hoof colour is determined by pigmentation and does not affect the strength of the feet.

Strong hooves depend on genetics, diet, age, environment and management.

It's likely to be believed because it's much easier to see bruising and damage in white feet.
