This is a 6-8 week program that takes your horse through the fundamental level of the method. Don’t know anything about the method? No problem, with your horses training you get a one on one lesson the day you pick your horse up to learn what your horse has learned and how to continue when you go home. Horses will be rode in several different areas (indoor/outdoor arenas, obstacle course, trails & pasture). This is a great program to put steady miles under your horses feet. 🌟Super proud of Tot!!🌟
In a perfect world he wouldn’t have gotten any extended amount of time off until he was much further in his training. Tot ended up having almost 7 weeks off with only 13 rides under his belt. I’d only planned on giving him a few days off when we got back from the c**t starting but when I got called back to the ranch plans changed.
Tot took his first saddling back like a champ! Stood great to he saddled/unsaddled& walk/trot/lope with zero buck or getting tight. Could not be happier with that. As we always say “Foundation isn’t anything, it’s everything”
Side note, so glad to have an indoor, the wind outside is not nice 🥶

You’ve heard people tell you that if you’re not uncomfortable you’re not growing. Well, the same is true with your horses. If they’re not a little uncomfortable, meaning they’re not being challenged, then they’re not getting better and making progress.

✨C**t Starting Certified✨
What an awesome opportunity this was! After my tough luck missing a day during the c**t starting I got a call from Clinton to come help start a group of 17 performance c**ts. I jumped on the opportunity to not only learn more but another shot at getting my c**t starting certification. 2.5 weeks later I made it through starting 5 more c**ts. Long days & consistency these horses will go on and be prospects for cutting, roping, & reining cow horses. Remember everything happens for a reason! At the time I was a little upset that I’d had a medical issue keep me from my certification but it opened doors to more education and opportunities and I’m grateful for that 😊
With this prices will be changing for next year!

What an experience this has been. Tot, Celio, and I finished up the 10 day C**t Starting Clinic at the Clinton Anderson ranch in Arkansas. These horses went from never being saddled or rode to loping on a loose rein out in the pastures, stopping off your seat & riding over obstacles. They officially got 13 rides in the 10 day period. Amazing how far these c**ts come in such a short amount of time.

A year and a half ago I bought this guy to keep him from testing his fate through an auction in the condition he was in and give him a shot at finding a loving home after he’s been through training. This week he starts his journey to become a productive horse. Tot will be one of the c**ts I take down to the ranch for the c**t starting course! If we quit learning we quit growing, so continue to learn to be the best you can be!! Photos of then a now 🌟 I will be posting an update after the c**t starting 😊
