Amber’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. This cute girl was brought into a Houston shelter as a stray, made her way to Colorado, and surprised us all when we discovered she was expecting! She’s since raised her nine adorable puppies—who are all now in loving homes—and it’s finally Amber’s turn to shine.

Amber is the ultimate sidekick for anyone who loves life on the go. From hiking trails to running errands, she’s up for anything—as long as it’s with you. 🏞️🐾

✨Adoption Success!✨ Star, now known as Zuri, waited patiently for months until her new family found her, and it is a perfect fit! Picked up as a stray in Houston and ending up at a high-kill shelter, she made her way to us in January of 2024. Cut to June, and she was adopted!

Here's what her family says:
"We adopted Star (now Zuri) and she has been the perfect addition to our family! She has the sweetest, goofiest personality and is the happiest when she is laying on or near you. She also gets along well with her big brother, Ziggy - the two of them are like Dr. Evil and Mini Me! We are grateful once again to 4P4L for helping us find our sweet girl."

🐾 Meet the "A-Team": Adison, Aletta, Alma, Arnie, and Arwin! 🐾

These adorable 8-week-old rat terrier mixes (mom’s just 16 lbs, and dad’s a mystery!) are playful, affectionate, and oh-so-ready to find their forever homes this Saturday at our adoption event. Expect them to be medium-sized bundles of joy!

✨Adoption Success!✨ We rescued Clarence from a New Mexico shelter in April of 2024 after he had been left in the public drop box. Their shelters are typically full, so he had a much better chance of finding a home in Colorado! This proved true, and he was adopted a couple of weeks after he arrived.

We recently received an update from his family:
"Clarence is doing great! Better than could be expected. He is very social with other dogs and generally just a dream. We got so lucky.

He has a new best friend with my 3 yr old daughter. She reads to him, plays doctor, feeds him most meals and misses him as soon as we get in the car. 😊 He is very patient with her and he makes it obvious that she is his favorite, too.

He has intense “zoomies” around the backyard and loves to sunbathe. We have some work to do with walking on a leash but we will get there. He gets a lot of compliments on how handsome and sweet his is. He is certainly loved."

Meet Amy! 🐶 This sweet 16 lb 5-year-old Rat Terrier mix has poured her heart into being the best mama to her six puppies, and now it’s HER turn to be someone’s baby!

Amy is a great snuggle buddy—she’ll curl up on your lap or wiggle her way under a blanket for cozy time. She’s always by your side, ready to share love and companionship. With her impeccable potty manners and easygoing nature, she’s a joy to have around!

[**ADOPTED!**] Amy is still decompressing after a tough start and raising her litter, but with a little patience, she’ll blossom into the confident, happy pup we know she is. She’s friendly with other dogs but prefers to take her time settling into new surroundings.

🐾 Meet Benjamin, the Ultimate Cuddle Bug! 🐾

Benjamin’s last sibling found his forever home this past weekend—now it’s this sweet boy’s turn! At almost 4 months old, this cute Shar Pei mix is the perfect blend of playful and affectionate.

Benjamin is a cuddle magnet—if you’re sitting down, he’s headed straight for your lap! While he loves playing with his toys, his absolute favorite thing is snuggling up with his people. He’s incredibly smart, almost fully potty trained, and sleeps through the night in his kennel with no accidents. Eager to please and endlessly curious, Benjamin is ready to be someone’s loyal best friend.
