TFP Nutrition is expanding their voluntary recall that was initiated to include all dry dog, dry cat, and catfish formulas manufactured in their Nacogdoches, Texas, facility. The recall of these production codes is being conducted due to the potential for Salmonella contamination.

Meet Astro. He originally came to Bell Rock as a puppy with parvo. He survived and was adopted. Unfortunately, one of his pet parents passed away. He is looking for a new furever home. He is a 6 year old MN, mixed breed that is 68 lbs of love and joy. He is great with people, dogs, but a little scared of cats. He would make a great addition to your family! Many are aware that the cost of eggs are sky rocketing. This is due to the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) that is ravishing the poultry industry and wild water fowl. As a veterinarian I was shocked and appalled to learn that the American Veterinary Medical Association allows ventilation shut down as a way to mass depopulate (euthanize) a flock due to HPAI. These birds are essentially dying of heat stroke and this is not acceptable. There are many humane ways to depopulate a flock and this practice needs to be banned.

Ventilation shutdown plus is used during emergencies, such as the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza. The AVMA supports its use as a last-resort means for depopulating animals in times of crisis.
