The hole video wasn't able to make it on Facebook due to the length of the video. Had an awesome time working with theses guys. Had some new horses at this stop that had some problems that we got resolved. I'm thankful for the clients I have. I want to say that this is the only way I want to make a living and I'm blessed to do so. Having said that we all started somewhere and injuries do happen. If you find a older man or woman that is still in this line of work, that speaks wonders in my opinion. Hope you all enjoy the video, sorry Facebook cut it a little short. Sorry for the bad photo but it was fun working with this guy. He unfortunately cut his back medial heal almost off. Don't know where or how, just horses being horses. Went ahead with this set up to properly load the foot. Started this a few months ago and the horse almost has full connection again. You probably saw him at the San Antonio Rodeo in the palomino patrol. I'm blessed with what I do.

Sometimes s**t happens. No mistakes on ethir end, but we do have to remember that we are working with amazing animals that do have a mind of there own. Things happen that we don't expect I tested this horses feet watched him move and flex tested him before trying to put shoes on. Shoe that I was going to put on was a rim fit shoe and nail placement was in good spots. When I started to dive the nail to a point where the nail would not even stand up be it self the horse reacted. Tested everything again with no signs. While just laying the shoe on the foot and no nails tapped the shoe, the horse reacted. This is something where the owners will keep me updated on this horse, but with no signs of lameness, makes it where we have to take action to show that, that's not acceptable behavior. I little round pen work never hurts, but leaving it and not doing anything can get someone extremely hurt. Hope this is a teachable moment for some who may not know what to do with some cases, and also help give a little prospective.

Well for anyone wondering, my schedule has been crazy. This little guy is why. We been told he could come any day for the last week and a half. So I'll be back at it like normal this coming week. We will have another farrier here in a couple years.
