What's that about when it it rains? Donations coming in clutch once again! What an exciting day it turned out to be! Definitely if you want to run a rescue, you've got to be handy and tough. Woke up today to hearing a strange clicking noise outside. I thought to myself, "That sounds like the well cycling, better go check it out." Oh the well was definitely cycling! One impromptu Home Depot trip later and a few hours of work and we're once again up and running. Thank you to our supporters that keep us up and running with their donations, kind words, and prayers. I think I've had enough being wet today.

Check your gates! Wet weather makes your wood expand and you may not realize that your pets now have an easy way to escape. I've already made that mistake several times today, fortunately no one wants to walk around outside.

We're trying to make a social media push for 2025 and get some of our platforms bulked up for more visibility. If at all possible, can we get some follows, views, and likes over on our YouTube channel. Right now, content is limited to shorts but we will be releasing longer form videos next year along with a new website! Thank you everyone for supporting us on our mission in 2024, we love you all.

We love donations! We hate destroying our washing machine! Sometimes you just do it the old fashioned way. Marshmallow here is neutral on the subject....

Anyone got idea for a sturdy stir stick for filthy pet beds? I've broken shovel handles trying to wash large blankets and mats.

I need this truck either fixed, fixed and sold or sold. Can anyone help me out? I want to either use the money to help our animal rescue or use the truck to help the animal rescue/community. Y'all did it! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 We reached our goal with plenty of time to spare. The coop is loaded up and on the way home to the sanctuary. Tractor Supply in Seguin, thank you for making this possible and a big shout out to the donors who blessed us. We will leave the donation running through the rest of the weekend and until the cold hits if anyone else would like to join in. We will be putting the names of people who donated on a plaque. Again, thank you to everyone for this generous gift. ❤️❤️❤️

***Update on the coop funding.***

You guys are amazing! 🥰♥️ We're at $110 of our $150 funding target for the 50% discount chicken coop at Tractor Supply. Tuesday and Wednesday will be in the mid 30s and I have the truck ready to go. Please continue to like and share our posts so we can hit our goal.

We're trying to raise money to get this coop from Tractor Supply. It's getting colder and it's been wet out lately. We have some smaller chickens that need more space and this would be perfect. That’s how often a dog or cat loses their life in Texas shelters. We are facing the highest kill rate in the country, and it doesn’t have to be this way.

Please, spay and neuter your pets! Reducing the number of homeless animals starts with us. Together, we can decrease overcrowding in shelters and give these animals a better chance at life.

So we got banned from the What's Up Seguin Facebook group for our previous post. It's a real shame that when people bring up behaviors that are irresponsible that there are always those that will jump up to defend the behavior. Poor animal ownership results in real pain and suffering for both humans and animals alike. It has nothing to do with socioeconomic status, opinions, or politics when the possible end result is an injection and the incinerator. It's a cruel reality us rescues deal with. We're sensitive to it and we deal with it on a daily basis. We'll continue to work to prevent animal suffering and work to assist our community.
