National Pet Fire Safety Day takes place every year on July 15, and is a day to learn how to keep your pet safe in the event of a fire. To us, our pets are one of the most precious assets, so it makes sense that we would dedicate a day to keeping them safe during one of the scariest things we can imagine! Find out more information on how to keep your fur babies safe and FAQ below!

National Pet Fire Safety Day frequently asked questions:
How do pets start fires?
The National Fire Protection Association says that a stove or cooktop is the #1 cause of fires started by pets! Another possible source for a pet fire are electrical cords. Electrical Cords can be seen as a chew toy and when damaged they can cause sparks, electrocution or even a fire!
Be sure to secure cords and hide them behind furniture.

How do I get my pet out of a fire?
Keep a collar on your dog, and leashes and cat carriers in an easy to access spot near an exit so you can grab them on your way out to safety.

On July 15, get a free Pet Fire Safety Window Cling at your local volunteer firehouse. . Put one on each side of your house or one in every apartment window. First responders will see this and know to look out for any pets inside

Have a pet rescue plan in place:
Discuss with family who will be in charge of rescuing your pet in the event of a fire and practice fire drills to ensure that every member knows where to go and remains calm.
Make sure rescuers are aware of your pets and their hiding places in the event of a fire.
Make sure that your pets have tags in case they escape so they can be reunited with you.

Doggy daycare spotlight: Coco 😍
Coco started coming to doggy daycare in March of 2020. I can't believe it's been almost 4,5 years since we've met her. We went through her "teenage phase" of killing my plants, some doggy beds, eating on the baseboards some 🤣 But she was all worth it because she's a wonderful girl and we love her!

In honor of National Doggy Daycare month ( I totally just made this up 🤣), I will be dedicating a post to one of our daycare pups each day. I will try to keep it in a chronological order from the oldest to the newest members of our daycare pack. 14 years ago I had no idea doggy daycare is a thing and we struggled through our dogs" puppy stages alone and big time! 😅 Everyone who has raised at least one puppy in their life knows what I mean! 🤣 I did not even think to look for a place like that for my dogs. But now it doesn't have to be like that anymore. We've come such a long way from the young clueless pet parents we were back then and it has been such a blessing to offer this service to our community! Our doggy daycare program has grown and developed so much. We have puppies that come as early as 4 months old to doggies that are 10 years old. We have doggies that come every day of the week, we have some that come on certain days and some that only come occasionally. But every day is guaranteed to be different and fun! I can't express how happy it makes my heart to watch your babies grow and mature and be part kf their lives and development. You calling me their "second mom", their "week day mom ", their "Wednesday mom" etc. means the world to me! Thank you to all of you who have trusted us over the years and continue to trust us with your babies. Thank you for driving out of your way before and after work to drop off your fur baby with us! On last month's episodes of "50 shades of Rascal", he went so crazy that he left his doggy daycare mom no choice and she had to do this...Now she lives with shame and hopes Rascsa's real mom and his groomer mom will forgive her! I mean,it will grow back, right?🤭 🤣

Good morning, Fb family! In case you wonder why I disappeared again and how come I have not posted any pictures of all the cute pups we have here...I've been staying busy with working in the new system and switching things over to it (not as much fun as playing with the doggos LOL) For the sake of some statistics data, in the short 4 weeks since we started the process we have had exactly 101 families and a total of a 150 dogs registered so far. That's not even close to having everyone in yet, but we are getting there slowly and surely. :) On all existing reservations (we have some as far as Spring break of next year), I am going week by week and I will catch up to you guys soon, please do not be worried! :)

Good Afternoon, everyone! :)
We have finally completed the set up of our new system. (I know it took months LOL) We have been testing it and getting to know it better in the last weeks and now we are ready to start switching everyone over to it. I will be sending emails to all of our current clients who already have reservations and we will start transitioning those from the current schedule to the new system. There are a lot of reservations for the upcoming months so it won't happen overnight. Please be patient with me, you know I am slow! LOL And I also prefer to be outside with the doggies versus sitting at the computer :D But we will get it done in the next couple weeks.
It will be handy to have a photo of you( for your profile) and one of your fur baby( for their profile) and their shot records before you begin. :)

Here is the info on how to register for the pet parent portal:
1. Download the "Gingr for pet parents" mobile app and use code 135403 to find our facility. (easiest way) or
follow this link to register from your computer: https://seguinhappypaws.portal.gingrapp.com/ #/secure/home

2. Create your profile and your dog/s profile/s.

3. Go to the "Waivers and Agreements" section and electronically sign the 3 documents there.

4. Go to the "Upload records" section and upload the current shot records.

5. If you'd like you can click on the "Start Booking" button and put in requests for all your upcoming reservations. A lot of you have multiple reservations coming up so you will need to do each one separately. If you prefer not to do it, I will do that on my end. :)

I love how easy everything is and that you will have access to the app and we will be able to communicate easier and cut down on paperwork dramatically! I am not thrilled by how the new invoices look, but I am sucking it up and getting used to it LOL
