🐾 Happy New Year from the South Coastal Delaware Dog Park Team! 🎉

As we wrap up 2024 and welcome the new year, we want to take a moment to thank you, our amazing supporters! 💛 Since our first successful fundraiser, Tunes for Tails, back in August, we’ve been hard at work laying the foundation for our future dog park. Here's what we've been up to:

𝑺𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 f𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒆𝒓f𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝑺𝒑𝒐𝒕: Our board continues to scout for land to create a welcoming space for dogs and their humans. If you have land to donate, sell, or creative suggestions about this to share, we’d love to connect—send us a direct message here or email us with your ideas!

𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔: Board members held productive meetings with State Representative Ron Gray and the Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement to share our mission and gain valuable support for our cause.

The South Coastal Delaware Dog Park Board of Directors is hard at work planning our next steps to make the dream of a dog park in South Sussex County a reality! 🙌 But we can’t do it without YOU! We need your help to spread the word about our mission to bring a safe, fun, and vibrant space for our furry friends and their owners to enjoy.

🐾 Call for Volunteers: Let’s Build a Dog Park! 🐾

The South Coastal Delaware Dog Park Foundation (SCDDP) was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to create a dedicated dog park in south coastal Sussex County, Delaware. With Sussex County laws requiring dogs to be leashed in most areas and seasonal restrictions on beach access, our growing community needs a special place for dogs to roam freely.

🐕 How You Can Help: Become a Volunteer! 🐕

We're calling on all dog lovers in Selbyville, Bethany Beach, Ocean View, Dagsboro, Frankford, Millville, and beyond! Nearly 90% of the 2,400 pet owners we surveyed are excited about this project, and we need YOU to bring it to life.

We're reaching the critical fundraising stage to secure land for our park, planned to span 5 to 10 acres. Whether you can help with fundraising, event planning, or spreading the word, your time and dedication can make a huge difference.
