Keeping up with travel requirements for pet dogs to and from Canada can be challenging. Hopefully this summary helps eh?
Below are the requirements for pet dogs > 3 months entering Canada from the US with their owner:
*A valid rabies vaccination certificate.
*The dog appears healthy and meets humane transportation requirements
Below are the requirements to bring your personal pet dog from Canada back into the US:
*Dogs must appear healthy upon arrival.
*Dogs must be at least 6 months old at time of entry or return to the U.S.
*Dogs must have a microchip that can be detected with a universal scanner to identify them.
*K9 must have a current Rabies vaccine and the client must have a copy of the Rabies certificate
*Client must complete CDC Dog Import Form‎ online. A receipt will be emailed to them upon submission of the form. They can print the receipt or show it on your phone. Instructions on how to fill out the form are on the CDC website.
