I did this video 5 times over the last few days and cried every time so I just decided to pick the one I at least look good in 🤣 I love you all...I will try to reach out to you in person as well. Yesterday was the FINAL step. I was signed into the Florida Bar by the Justices of the Florida Supreme Court. I can NOW officially practice law. ❤

Hello friends!
Many of you know my buddy, Kaden, but if you are new here I will give you a short introduction. I met my buddy about 6 years ago through an organization called, "I run for" which pairs able-bodied runners with disabled children to help support one another and share awareness for that child's cause. Well, I no longer run, but Kaden and I have remained best buds. Kaden has SMA, which is a genetic disorder that appears in some babies and is very similar to ALS in adults (what my mother was diagnosed with when I was a child). The majority of infants with SMA never see their first birthday, but Kaden is a fighter 💪💪💪and next month we will be celebrating his 8TH BIRTHDAY together! 🥰👏👏👏
Anyhow, Kaden has been doing AH-MAZING things, including actively championing for children with disabilities and currently, he is working on a fundraiser to help raise money to build an outdoor soccer field that will support children that need to play the sport in wheelchairs! I AM SO PROUD OF HIM! AND TODAY IS THE DAY WE CAN ALL HELP HIM! Today, his interview will be shared on the Variety Children's Charity of Greater Kansas City broadcast, on the radio station KC 102.1, in his hometown in Kansas. (I posted his statement about his mission below so you can hear what will be said on the radio station. 🥰)

Pictured here were my first two days at Stetson College of Law. I'm smiling because I had no idea what was to come, lol. During the next four years:
1. There was a category- ridiculous hurricane during our first semester in which I had to evacuate and was out of power for 5 days;
2. I changed my employment three times, including saying goodbye to my own business of nine years;
3. My son was in the emergency room 6 or 7 times, which included 2 major surgeries;
4. I was served divorce papers and was divorced;
5. I was in a car accident and my car was totaled;
6. I was sued and the litigation lasted an entire school year;
7. My previous landlord sold the house I was renting and I had to fight to stay for my entire lease;
8. I worked every single weekend for four years;
9. I worked 7 days a week plus maxed out my credits in school for 2 years;
10. There was this little pandemic and a crap year called 2020;
11. But, I managed to graduate with my J.D. and all I had left to do was study for the BAR...
12. Which I started 3 weeks early and in total studied 560 hours, took 4,793 questions, wrote 62 essays, and practiced the exam 7 frigging times.

Through all of the pain and suffering and drama;
1. I persevered;
2. I found a really good job that allowed me plenty of money to pay all my bills and a super flexible schedule to study, and my amazing clients followed me and supported me everywhere I went;
3. My son made it through all those emergencies a healthy young man;
4. My birth name (and father's name) gets to be the last name on my law degree as it should be;
5. My son gave me his car to drive so I have no payment to worry about while studying;
6. I learned more about being a lawyer than law school taught me by having to defend myself in court;
7. I moved to a new cute place with no rats, haha;
8. & 9. I appreciate and value my time off of work like I never had before;
10. I got a COVID vaccine and a new found endurance for Zoom meetings;
11. I have a law degree; and
12. I PASSED THE FRICKIN BAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello friends! I'm back! It was an AH-MAZING time in Italy 🇮🇹 😍 ❤! We did SO MUCH! We visited Rome (including the colloseum and the vatican), Amalfi, Pompeii, Herculean, Matera, Alberobello, Locorotondo, Tropea, and Catania, Sicily! It was a super packed vacation and I learned and experienced more than I could have anticipated, AND ATE SO MUCH PASTA, HAHA!

But, I am truly and honestly so happy to be home and really ready to go back to work! I am refreshed and recharged and looking forward to spending my days with fuzzy faces 🥰🐶🐶🐶♥️!
