I know, I know it's not a very good picture but this guy was brought in this morning by the police. For the life of me I can't remember where he was picked up. He has no chip but has a name and number on his collar but the number has been disconnected. If he is yours please come in and reclaim him. Poor guy wants to go home.

This guy got arrested today by the Sheriff's office on gravel Springs road. He is not chipped but he wants to go home. If he is yours please come to the shelter and claim him.

Thanks to some incredible young men, this catio/puppy-play-house is almost finished! Just needs some shelving on the inside and we’ll be ready for animals to play!
Every one of you who donated during our Jordan’s Way fund raiser a few months ago made this happen! Some of that was used for the medical needs or our animlas but we were able to save some for this. This is really a luxury for this shelter as we don’t usually have money to spend on things like this so THANK YOU SO MUCH! We will send more when it’s completed!

Some items were donated from Sunny Meadows Rescue and we will highlight those to show you when we are done! ❤️

7 tiny pups, dumped by an electrical
truck with a big cherry picker, down an abandoned overgrown property, (no,no license plate was seen, neighbor was focused on the pups running after the truck and towards the road 😣) Helpless babies, I have no (nice) words for this anymore 💔

We are devastated to tell you that this sweet girl, who only wanted a home of her own, was hit by a car last night as she traveled near 305. We had a trap set near the woods she had been staying in for a few days. Run fast sweet girl, I am so sorry 💔💔😭

This dog was dumped in town after the shelter told the man that they could not take her because he said he found her in Hernando. He was asked if he could take her back there to a shelter? He said he would do that and he then went and dumped her in town. A kind lady and her daughter picked her up the next dayand brought her to us yesterday. Now she has burned pads on her little feet 😣. Her little girl
Named her Sky. We will share this post to Hernando

Mondays are not my favorite, they are usually chaotic after the weekend- let me tell you
some GREAT THINGS that happened today😊

The little sweetheart that was found by a good citizen on Hwy 4 and then brought to the shelter by shelter volunteers (thank you
Meg Ross for always being there and for you and Ashley Franklin getting her settled and comfortable) - has gone home to her owners 😊😊❤️❤️ We took her to the vet this morning and she does have 2 breaks from a car hitting her 💔 and she has a road to recovery. She has 8 puppies waiting for her at home so they are happy to have her back. They are going to get her spayed when she recovers.

AND 9yo Sally Drummond, who is a third grader at MHS, asked for friends to bring donations to her party for our shelter animals instead of presents! 😭❤️❤️ This melts me when kids do this, we are so thankful (thankful for you parents for raising such selfless kids ❤️)

Thanks for always supporting our animals! Now we need some adoptions! We have so many sweet puppies, kittens, dogs and cats!

Update: They are headed to a Tails of Hope rescue tomorrow! They will get altered and get the heartworm treatment they need ! ❤️ We are so thankful for you guys!

Folks, these little guys don’t deserve what they got, which was to be dumped out near a river -probably because of their skin.
Their skin is healing with treatment here at the shelter, but it’s loud and hot and they need to get out of here. They are super sweet siblings, and they are heartworm positive, of course.

If we can get them started on the road to recovery with some donations for their heart worm treatment - we will transfer that money to Rescue -if a rescue is able to take them. We are so appreciative of the help you guys give us when we need it❤️
