Friends, one of the wonderful rescues we work with is in need of fosters!!

📣URGENT NEED FOR FOSTERS!📣

🐱We are in the thick of “kitten season” and we are searching for more foster homes! Fostering helps save lives by keeping kittens out of the shelter and safely indoors while they grow. Miss Dixie’s provides all supplies including food, litter, toys, and medical care. A safe space for some kittens to hang with lots of love is all we need from you!

🫶We have kittens 6 weeks and older who are eating on their own, adult kitties, and moms with babies. We will help match you with your ideal foster kittens.

Yesterday we had to say our goodbyes to our two UGA Veterinary School externs, Savannah and Claire! They brought so much joy to our hospital the last three weeks, we will miss them so much…help us wish them the best as they finish their clinical rotations and head towards graduation!!! 🩺💉🐶🐱🐮🐷

🚨🚨🚨 Please be aware of these temporary changes with Upstate Veterinary Emergency Care hours!

🚨 IMPORTANT ER UPDATE 🚨

Due to unexpected staffing changes, we are temporarily adjusting our emergency service hours effective this Sunday, June 22nd. This temporary change is not a decision we take lightly. Our team is actively working to resume 24/7 emergency service as soon as possible.

Starting Sunday, we will be available to receive new patients through our ER:
Monday - Friday: 2pm-2am
Saturday - Sunday: 12pm-12am

Please know that we will have a team onsite 24/7 to continue providing care for our hospitalized patients and answer incoming calls, and there is no impact to the availability of our specialty services.
