Sheriff Chris Jennings and everyone at the Newton County Sheriff’s Office is offering their thoughts and prayers for the men and women of the Joplin Police Department.

Our thoughts and prayers are with any EMS, fire and police that responded to the scenes today. Our thoughts and prayers are with the dispatchers that took the calls. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the officers that were shot. Our thoughts and prayers for the entire Joplin community.
