8/29/25 NOW it is URGENT to get the dogs out of the pound, it is full.

These sweet six dogs have been in a nearby pound for months. A new dog was picked up today and had to be put into the pound. There are only six kennels. Archie and Duke, who were found together as strays are now back to sharing a kennel. But If they get one more dog they will have to get rid of at least one dog. Plus the city gets tired of holding these dogs for so long and get antsy about getting rid of them. If there is no one to foster or adopt a dog then in the past they have taken the dog to a vet to be killed.

Please foster a dog. The lengths of time these dogs have been in the pound are as follows: Kilo since January, Tiger since May, Allie since June, Duke and Archie since July. Although the city is in charge of the pound and its up-keep, two of our dedicated volunteers go and walk the dogs and work with them and a trainer has now started working with each one once a week to help them get adopted or at least fostered and out of the pound.

All the dogs are spayed or neutered and have had their shots and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. They just need safe secure homes to go to while they find their forever homes. They are posted for adoption. Kilo has heartworms for which we are treating him, so his foster time might be longer or he can be fostered to adopt. Any of them can be fostered to be adopted if you fall in love!

Sally and Stormy, both young girls are looking for foster homes. Their person has to move and can’t take these sweeties.

Sally is around 2 yrs old and weighs about 20 lbs.

Stormy is around 1.5 yrs old and reportedly weighs about 40 lbs.

Both girls are reportedly good with children.

Can you foster Sally or Stormy?
