‼️ Blue Mountain Animal Clinic Announcement

We have bittersweet news to share with our BMAC family. Dr. Thea B’ey will be leaving BMAC to pursue an exciting new career in another area of the veterinary industry. While we will miss her warmth, expertise, and dedication here in the clinic, we are thrilled for her as she embarks on this new adventure. We know her skills and hard work will shine brightly in her new role.

For those of you who would like to see Dr. B’ey before her departure, we have held a limited number of appointments with her this week. If your pet needs a visit, please call as soon as possible to schedule.

Join us in wishing Dr. B’ey all the best in her new journey. She has been an invaluable part of our team and her impact on our clinic and community will not be forgotten. Thank you, Dr. B’ey, for everything you have done for Blue Mountain Animal Clinic and our beloved patients!

We are excited to share that Blue Mountain Animal Clinic will be open on Saturdays (starting 1/11/25) from 10am - 4pm for a period of time to assess the community need for service. The allotted hours will be available for URGENT AND EMERGENT care with limited capacity.

Our office will be closing early on Tuesday 12/24/24 & Tuesday 12/31/24 at 1:00pm.

We will be closed Wednesday 12/25/24 and Wednesday 01/01/25. Please ensure you plan ahead for your pet's food and medications - and let us know ASAP if you need more!

A friendly reminder that we will be closed Thursday & Friday (11/28-11/29) to give thanks and spend time with our families.

Additionally, a useful PSA from your favorite veterinarians 😉, refrain from feeding your pets things they don’t normally get.
•Oily foods or foods high in fat can be hard to digest; leading to GI discomfort and sometimes pancreatitis in our four legged friends .
•Watch for any bones or food soaked wrappings that could lead to any GI obstructions; secure waste bins.
•With family and friends visiting watch for those open doors and make sure to allow a quiet space or separation for any anxious animals 🤎

UPDATE: Rescanned and found microchip!!
his friend was playing a little too close to 101 today. A good Samaritan picked it up and is now safely housed at the clinic waiting to tell the family about the adventures of the day! Do you know where their home may be?

We are SO proud to offer our community and the Peninsula the most advanced medical options.
This week we hosted Dr. Brian Heiser, DVM, DACVS (Surgical Specialist) and Dr. Brianna Backlund, DVM, DACVIM (Internal Medicine Specialist) on the same day! 😅
Both specialists are on a regular rotation with us here at Blue Mountain Animal Clinic and we are grateful for their continued partnerships.

This is the week to celebrate our Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs)! There is much debate about their title..as they are the equivalent of an RN on the human side of medicine in education and licensure requirements and we don't feel they get enough credit. Make no mistake, these folks live and breathe patient care. We are so very proud of our 6 LVTs- Elizabeth, Hailee, Kendra, Courtney, Barb, and Schelle. Between these ladies there are over 100 YEARS of Veterinary experience!!! Help us celebrate them this week with a post or thumbs up about impacts they have had on your experience with our hospital. Happy TECH WEEK!
