***THE BOONE COUNTY DOG POUND IS LOCATED AT FOSTERVILLE PAST SETH ON RT 3. ADOPTION FEE IS $50. THE $50 GOES TOWARD A VOUCHER THAT YOU CAN GET YOUR NEW ADOPTED DOG SPAYED OR NEUTERED. THE DOG POUND WILL GIVE THIS VOUCHER TO THE VETERINARIAN.

Acts 1951, c. 69.

§ 19-20-8. Impounding and disposition of dogs; costs and fees

(a) All dogs seized and impounded as provided in this article, except dogs taken into custody under section two of this article, shall be kept housed and fed in the county or municipal shelter for five days after notice of seizure and impounding has been given or posted as required by this article, at the expiration of which time all dogs which have not previously been redeemed by their owners as provided in this article, shall be sold or humanely destroyed. No dog sold as provided in this section may be discharged from the county or municipal shelter until the dog has been registered and provided with a valid registration tag.

We hope everyone is staying warm including your furbabies!! ❤️🐾❄️

Unfortunately, BARC volunteers haven’t been able to commute to the pound because of the winter storm. Our humane officer was able to capture some updated pictures and videos. 🙌

Very successful day with lots of volunteers who came out to shower our dogs!! The outpouring support at the Boone County Dog Pound during our Christmas at the Pound event was absolutely overwhelming. The love the dogs received… walks, dinner and opening of their stockings!! We left with a full heart and we love each and every one of you that came out today and also our supporters that couldn’t make it!! B.A.R.C Boone Animal Rescue Coalition volunteers will keep saving lives one day at a time!! Thank you Humane Officer Sean Bowles… for everything. We will keep grinding- teamwork,
saving lives.

Our sponsors and supporters rocked it!! Sponsors, they loved their stockings full of goodies and other sponsors who sent goodies to the entire pound!! The furbabies loved everything!!

What a wonderful morning/afternoon at the pound!!
We met some new faces and let me tell you… we have some amazing dogs!!
They are available for adoption and/or to our rescue partners! Jax is pending adoption.

If you are looking to adopt a shelter dog, we have the perfect one for you! They all want homes for Christmas! Come on out to Christmas at the Pound this Monday and meet these beautiful souls!! They will have a Christmas dinner, a long walk and they get to open their stockings from their wonderful sponsors. We do have new intakes, but we had so many wonderful supporters this year that donated to the entire pound and we were able to put together stockings filled with goodies for them, also.

ALL THESE DOGS AND PUPS ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH B.A.R.C Boone Animal Rescue Coalition and first 6 are available through Boone County Dog Pound. Most have either been pulled into foster homes or went straight from abandonment and neglect situations and straight to BARC volunteers homes.

If you are looking to adopt a rescue dog and give one a life to cherish forever… look at these faces!! You won’t regret!!❤️💚🐾🎅🎄
