***THE BOONE COUNTY DOG POUND IS LOCATED AT FOSTERVILLE PAST SETH ON RT 3. ADOPTION FEE IS $50. THE $50 GOES TOWARD A VOUCHER THAT YOU CAN GET YOUR NEW ADOPTED DOG SPAYED OR NEUTERED. THE DOG POUND WILL GIVE THIS VOUCHER TO THE VETERINARIAN.

Acts 1951, c. 69.

§ 19-20-8. Impounding and disposition of dogs; costs and fees

(a) All dogs seized and impounded as provided in this article, except dogs taken into custody under section two of this article, shall be kept housed and fed in the county or municipal shelter for five days after notice of seizure and impounding has been given or posted as required by this article, at the expiration of which time all dogs which have not previously been redeemed by their owners as provided in this article, shall be sold or humanely destroyed. No dog sold as provided in this section may be discharged from the county or municipal shelter until the dog has been registered and provided with a valid registration tag.

We haven’t moved any dogs in nearly 2 weeks! Share our babies! Please, if you have room for one, BARC can transport to reputable rescues! 🙌🐾 They each have their own post on this page with more pictures and their bios. Just scroll to read more about each of them. We have so many more that need our help in this county and not a single run open‼️ Please share!!

🐾CUTENESS ALERT!!
🐾So fun and cuddly
🐾Kobe has the white/blk face-Milo has a solid black
🐾Their mom is sadly not at the pound 🥲 but Brownie is doing an amazing job keeping them warm and snuggles them. He came in with them and Buttercup.
🐾Pups have been vaccinated along with all adult dogs. Everyone is dewormed as well.
‼️‼️WE NEED TO MOVE THE PUPS OUT ASAP‼️‼️

I’m going to showcase all of our dogs that are available to rescue partners or approved adopters!

‼️‼️Look no further…we have the best right here‼️‼️

Most of our dogs are owner surrender and no fault of their own. 🥹 We have a very full pound, so rescue partners please, if you have room for a couple that would be amazing! We are keeping them social and they have the biggest hearts! They are begging for a home. I will start with the longest resident and go down the list… Each of the dogs will have their own post so please follow them all and look in the comments for additional pictures and videos showing them interacting. 😉

‼️‼️LOOKING FOR RESCUE COMMITMENTS‼️‼️

They aren’t bonded. They do not need to be pulled together if a rescue is interested in 1.

‼️Australian Cattle dogs, Badger and Star, and little BFF Peanut, which he is a good mixture of a Bulldog/pug. All 3 of them came in as owner surrender together. No fault of their own‼️

Look how gorgeous they are! 👀👀👀👀👀

They are 3 years old.
Badger and Star are approximately 35 lbs and Peanut is our little short and stocky 30 lbs. boy! Oh and they are soooooo very sweet and lovable!!

They are amazing dogs! So soulful and grateful to see people and loves the touch of a hand from a person. They melt in your arms!! ❤️❤️❤️
