😔It’s been a very hard week. We’re still working on catching Odin, though we believe we are getting very close to bringing him home! 🤞

We know Odin wouldn’t want us to stop the good work we do, and he certainly wouldn’t want his friends to miss out on their happily ever afters because of his search.

💔 Dingo & Zena are now our longest term residents. When we tell you that we can’t figure out why, we mean it. These two are perfect! Well mannered, love kids, happy to snuggle or play with you. Please, can you come visit them? Can you give them a chance? They’re begging to get out of the shelter, to finally have a chance to show you how amazing they are.

Please share them to help them find their homes this weekend. Here at Blue River we could really use a pick-me-up, and we can’t think of anything better than finding these two loving homes —besides finding our boy Odin of course!💙

‼️WE ARE CONTINUING TO ASK FOR HELP‼️

Odin has been missing for 4 days. We feel pretty confident that he is sticking to this area just north of Glenwood near Eastman Rd.

🚨IF YOU DO SEE ODIN PLEASE CALL 402-641-2805 IMMEDIATELY🚨

Please do not approach Odin, but keep eyes on him as long as possible. If you do see him and can get within a distance of him seeing you, you can sit outside on the ground very quietly and see if he will approach you as he may get hungry enough to attempt contact. DO NOT chase or pursue. Simply watching and waiting in place is our best bet to recover this boy.

📣Latest update as of 2/4:
Sightings near Eastman Rd and Dill Rd. Is coming up near people’s residences but runs when approached. PLEASE don’t approach (he is very scared) and call 402-641-2805 with sightings.

Lost at 5:00pm Saturday 10 miles south of Bellevue at the I-29 north rest stop. Picture of location attached.

Odin was traveling with his new family after his adoption. He will be scared and does not know the area at all. Please call or text 402-641-2805 with any sightings.

📣 ISO: forever family to snuggle 📣

Pepe is loving sleeping his day away with his amazing foster family, but he would sure love to be in the arms of his forever family!! Pepe is not only an amazing cuddle bug, but he’s petite and perfect for a small home or apartment, does well with other dogs, and loves kiddos! He’s the total package.

📖On this weeks episode of “From A to Zena”:
Zena wanted to pick out some books that describe her life!

Zena was found as a stray. She was sadly discarded, with no family to love her. She was almost put to sleep for lack of space—no other reason. 💔 So Blue River stepped in to save her! We saw the bright spirit of this girl and knew she’d make a perfect companion for someone, maybe even her very own family.

Sadly, not a single application has come in for Zena. She’s been with us for 3 months and she’s constantly looked over. 😢 Even though she is such a good girl and so willing and ready to give all her love, nobody has shown her the same kindness in life.

Can you be the person to show her all the love she deserves? Our heart is breaking for this girl, she deserves a happy home. 💔

We are rocking and rolling through January with lots of adoptions and so many dogs and cats finding their forever home! 🎉 We are so happy for everyone!!

Just a reminder: As soon as they go, more come along. We’d love to see more people out this week to meet our newest arrivals, and of course our long term residents too. Everyone deserves a loving home. 💙

We have some truly amazing fosters in our organization who help care for animals that need to be outside the kennel environment. Thanks to the love and care that Janae Spiker put into Nellie & her baby, they found perfect forever homes! 💙
