Treasure (affectionately called LJ because she looks like the "lady version of Jingle" by her foster family) will be making her debut at PetSmart Mantua soon!

She's about 5 years old, has the softest fur ever, and wants nothing more than to have a window to look out of and a never-ending supply of chin scratches.

She's one of the seven cats we acquired last month when the owner died and no one could care for them. Originally shy, scared, and hiding under a radiator in foster, Treasure has blossomed into the sweetest, most affectionate cat. If you work from home, she'll keep you company, lounging in a window sill or in a cat bed nearby. She happily eats treats and drools when you scratch the right spot. She loves other cats and is fine with dogs, we just think she'll need a little more time to adjust to a new home.

Meet Suki! This little girl has not had it easy these first few months of her life, but boy is she a fighter. Through multiple rounds of eye meds and even surgery, she stayed a happy, playful and loving baby! Suki loves playing with her toys, zooming around the house, and screaming for food at meal time. She also loves her downtime and naps, and will often flip over for some gentle belly scratches! This sweet girl cannot wait to find her forever home! Currently in foster.

Look at these adorable ladies.
Rhino is approximately 4 months old, and Alli-gator is about 3 months old. They are playful but also lap cats. They can be carried around and are very easy going kittens. Both are super playful. Being adopted together would be awesome, but if adopted separately, they really need to have a young cat in the house as they are playful with each other. They love human company. Chicken is the epitome of playful charm! This little ball of fluff is a whirlwind of energy, curiosity, and mischief. Whether it’s pouncing on a dangling toy, chasing after a laser pointer, or simply tumbling around in a playful roll, Chicken is always ready for a good time.

Wanted: someone to give Kacy head scratches forever. ✨cue Sarah McLachlan music✨ Everyone that comes into our adoption center comments on how beautiful and affectionate she is. But in the time we've had her, we've only had one family put an application in for her. They ultimately chose another rescue to adopt from, so Kacy's hopes and dreams of a forever home were shattered. And it breaks our hearts because this is the second time she's been in the adoption system. See, she was adopted out as a cute little baby kitten a couple years ago (check the comments for baby pics). Then, last fall she was meowing at someone's door, presumably looking for food, shelter, and love... and a kind soul brought this malnourished, dirty, scared little girl to the vet. After a microchip scan, we were called and scooped her up thinking her family must be worried sick about her and we were excited for a reunion because it looked like she had been outside fending for herself for several months. But the family who adopted her either let her out or dumped her because they didn't want her anymore. So, no happy reunion for Kacy. After months rehabbing in foster that included long hours of trying to get her to trust humans again, she blossomed into the most affectionate cat, grateful for a second chance. Milo is looking for his forever home!

At only 2 years old, this orange chonker is looking for his forever home. When Milo came to us, he required medical assistance for bladder stones and spent several months in foster care, and has to be on a special diet so the stones don't return. Now that he's at the PetSmart in Mantua, he waits patiently as he watches all the other cats and kittens get picked over him. He's spent 6 holidays with the volunteers in our Adoption Center, and even made an ornament in hopes that he would get adopted and someone could hang it on the tree for Christmas. Now that Christmas has come and gone, and there's been zero interest in Milo, he's starting to wonder if he'll ever have a family of his own. In typical orange cat fashion, he's playful, derpy, and food motivated. He loves playing with string toys, goes crazy for catnip, and will roll his fat body around to catch a laser pointer. Once he warms up to you, he jumps around, meowing and excited to see you, and will gladly take head scratches. He wants nothing more than a cozy blanket on the couch next to you. PRETTY PUMPKIN'S wish has been granted. She was officially ADOPTED today. Her new family saw her video and couldn't resist. She has 2 kitty brothers (who ironically had the same foster home as Pumpkin almost 10 years ago) and she also has 2 doggie brothers she will whip into shape. Be good little one!

Our Story

For Kitty’s Sake is an all-volunteer, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization. We work within our community to provide a safe haven, medical support, foster placement and adoptive homes for cats in need. We depend upon our foster parents, board members, veterinarians, and volunteers to care for our cats while they await adoption.

Our adoption process is thorough. We require vet references from all of our potential adopters and will do home visits and follow-up visits in most cases. For Kitty's Sake will take back any cat we have adopted out with no questions asked. We prioritize the health and well-being of each and every cat that comes to us and are proud to be one of the few local groups who will invest the time and attention to making sure that all of our cats go to homes in which they will be loved and well-cared for for the rest of their lives! Our goal is to ensure a quality life for each and every one of our cats.

For Kitty’s Sake relies entirely on donations and fundraising events to support our mission. Community support and involvement is crucial to our effectiveness. We could not achieve our mission without the dedicated assistance of our foster home providers, our adoptive families, our veterinarian and business partners, our volunteer network and our generous supporters.
