I love a good pupdate! Piper went to her new home, a retired couple, 5 years ago today. She competes in Doc Dog events, spends her days at the hospital, and has been featured in “Top Docs.” Just goes to show…it’s never too late to get a puppy and give her a dream life!

Finley River Retrievers turned 1️⃣2️⃣ in March! I probably enjoyed making this video more than you want to watch, but if you hold out til the end hopefully it’ll make you smile 😊 (especially the last part). I’ll never take for granted being able to work alongside my kids. Some days feel like a lot of work but rarely do the kids or dogs think that. I thank these doggies everyday!

In case you are unaware what this week is, it is Read Across America Week! This is a fun week for my girls with different themed days and a read-a-thon competition. My kids’ school is great about getting our community involved in such events. They invited me to come read to the students, which ended up being a fail as I had lost my voice 🙁. But I was granted permission to bring in some puppies! As they get ready to head home, I thought this would be a great socialization piece for them, a little learning experience for the kids, and hopefully fun for all of them. The puppies were AMAZING! I couldn’t have asked for better, calmer behavior. I croaked out some brief instructions for the students as to how not scare or overwhelm them and they were so wonderful with them! I told them their kindness toward the puppies was something that was going to help the become wonderful pets for their families and thanked them for their help ☺️. Thank you, for volunteering to accompany me and the teachers for also loving on and sharing the puppies. Once the class was dismissed to check out books, they all returned to show off their books they found on Golden Retrievers and dogs 😊🐾

The puppy choosing process is complete! It got pretty busy and hectic but it’s always nice to meet everyone (even if it is through video chats)! Most people drove hours for a relatively short visit. Their dedication already speaks volumes!

🦴highly anticipated means these guys went quickly. They are all reserved (give a 👍🏼 or ❤️ if you’ll soon be taking home one of these babies). But there are always more on the horizon to inquire about 😊

My news feed has been filled with prom, Graduation, senior nights, college signing days, 🎓etc. It made me realize that those of you going into empty nest mode soon may need something to ease the burden of having no one home to care for. And do I have JUST the thing 😃! Or maybe you are a graduate and ready to take on adulthood? Again, I’m here to help!
Alright look, all of these pups are reserved for people doing just that (maybe 🤷🏻‍♀️), but 📱 me about new litters that’ll be ready just as those babies head off to college. 🐾

As you may have seen on my stories, FRR turned 1️⃣1️⃣ in March 🎉🎉🎉
In all those 11 years, we have not had just one puppy conceived, until now (small litters where only one survived, yes).
The x ray was hilarious, this puppy was spread out from back legs to front feet in the womb and came out big & healthy and ready to take on the world all by himself💙!
