If your dog was with us on June 11th, they may be getting their 15 (or 6ish) minutes of fame tomorrow morning on Cleveland 19 News. We had a great time with Jamie and we weren’t sure the producer was ever going to leave the play yard :)

February is here and that can only mean one thing…the cutest day of the year is upon us at Process Canine! Our Annual Valentine’s Day treat exchange party is coming up on Valentine’s Day. Dogs attending daycare that day are welcome to bring in treats to pass out to their friends. Everyone goes home with a goodie bag!

The big guy is back to wrap up 2023 and pay a visit to the best dogs in town. Photos are taken during daycare hours. You can sign up in the morning or save a spot in advance. We have a limited number of pictures we can accommodate in a day so we can't guarantee availability but do our best to get everyone in!

Job Description Below !

The ideal candidate already has some professional dog handling experience (owning a pet dog does not count as experience). However, we are willing to train anyone with interest in dog behavior. While it is awesome to be with dogs all day, the job is so much more than handing out pets! A lot of hard work and skill goes into successfully managing the play floor. We are just a tad nuts about proper dog interactions and making sure everyone has safe fun and hold our staff to a high standard.

Process Canine is a 24/7/365 operation. Weekend and Holiday hours are required for all staff members and overnight interest is a huge plus for potential candidates. The job includes a lot of cleaning, manual labor and daily dog facility maintenance including cleaning crates, play yards and the like. Ability to withstand all temperatures is important as you will be outside for extended periods of time year round.
Right now the position has 25-38 hours/week available.

Perks include bringing your dog to work for free as well as using our boarding services for your dogs at no cost.

We are doubling up on the V-Day love this year by celebrating on Monday AND Tuesday next week!

The cutest time of the year at Process! Each daycare dog gets a treat bag to be filled with treats from their classmates. Participation is optional and everyone goes home with treats. We are excited to see what you all come up with this year!

Due to a number of employees coming down with COVID we have decided to close daycare on Monday February 6. Healthy staff will be caring for boarding dogs. Pick-ups and drop-offs for boarding dogs will be within the normal weekday times: before noon for drop-offs and anytime between 6am-7:30pm for pickups.

I apologize for the short notice! If you are in a pinch please message, email or call to see what we can do.

We are expecting daycare to proceed normally through the rest of the week as much of the staff returns from quarantine on Tuesday.

We are SO excited to announce a new board and train program offered through Process Canine!

The Puppy Foundations Board & Train is now open for enrollment!! This is an intensive head-start program for puppies 8 weeks-4 months of age taking place in-home with the trainer with a curriculum focusing on:

✅Intensive potty training
✅Crate training
✅Intro to basic marker communication system
✅Development of toy and food drive, toy play skills
✅Appropriate socialization with people and other animals
✅Confidence building
✅Exposure to various environmental stimuli, field trips, vet trips
✅Establishment of a cooperative and balanced relationship with humans
✅Engagement & learning foundations
✅Intro to basic commands
✅Individualized environmental management system to prevent/redirect unwanted behaviors
✅House manners
✅Leash skills
✅Impulse control
✅Grooming and handling desensitization

The Puppy Foundations Board & Train has been designed to give owners a strong head-start in setting both themselves and their new puppy up for success and making the most of critical development periods. Right now the position has 25-38 hours/week available. All of our part-time employees have turned into full time at some point! Those with the skill and knowledge to move upwards are eligible for management and weekend lead opportunities.

Mark your calendars! The large grassy field at 3630 Lee Rd. just down the street from Process is going to the dogs on July 31st. Tons of dog-friendly vendors, a DJ, treats for dogs and people and Process Canine’s contribution-an obstacle course for the dogs.

Dogs attending should be exceptionally friendly with dogs and humans. Our dog trainers want you to know not every dog is meant for events like this and that is ok!
