“I like sandwiches and Fritos too!”

While we DON’T put dogs in a sit, down, or place for human meal times, we DO ask them not to bother the humans, get up on laps, or the table, etc.

Multiple behaviors we can reward for…sitting on their own, laying down on their own, going to a dog bed on their own, just standing there being quiet. With no cue from the owners.

MUCH easier on the dog, and you don’t have to constantly maintain the sit/down/place.

Another example in our continuing series “But Chris, you CAN’T train a high prey driven dog to ignore wildlife. IT GOES AGAINST THEIR GENETIC NATURE! And certainly using rewards won’t help at all.”

This boy, Goose, went over the Rainbow Bridge this week. And we are devastated.

So many dogs leave this world too soon. With a heart of gold, and a disposition that everyone would kill to have.

Rest easy my friend. Cancer sucks. And is totally not fair.

Where you are going, may your bowl always be full, and the squirrels be slow.
